COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

CROYDONIST CIC

Company Number: 12414555 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2024

Company activities and impact

The Croydonist is a local arts and cultural website that highlights all the great work happening in the local community, new business, events and activities for people to enjoy. We help promote the local arts and cultural scene in Croydon via our website and social media channels. We also run our own local community events. This year we ran Cro Cro Land Music Festival offering local artists the opportunity to play alongside bigger bands to gain exposure and develop their profiles. The not for profit event kept ticket prices low providing a weekend festival of local and national artists at great value.

Consultation with stakeholders

Key Stakeholders are Angela Martin and Julia Woollams - After the event we reached out to the local businesses we worked with to deliver the event infrastructure; from food vendors to sound and music tech team for feedback on their experience. We also did this with artists and people attending. This was conducted via a survey. Feedback was that the event was a great asset for the area, not only benefitting the local community of music fans but also the wider cultural offering of Croydon, by shining a spotlight on the area.
