In the Year January 23 - January 24 Walsall Creative Factory has delivered over 18 workshops per week, Over 10 community events and showcased our community arts activities and art work at a dedicated major exhibition at The New Art Gallery Walsall between Feb 23 - June 23. This was a major boost to our local community who had all this time being celebrated and shown to the world. We continue to build skills in festival arts so our community can put on local events led by us. We are also commissioned to deliver the lantern parade for the festival of lights at The Black Country Living Museum in October 2023. over 100 local people help us make lanterns and have a family trip out to the museum in return for carrying lanterns, helping us be co creators with our community for this event.
Our Freelance Art Workers and main volunteers each look after a community group. For every event also for the exhibition they are invited to create their own contribution supported by us, thereby giving ownership to us all. Every quarter we hold a board meeting and an operational with main volunteers and free lancers to look at opportunities looking forward and to plan the next quarters events. Individuals and groups are encouraged to follow up projects and funding opportunities for programmes to animate their groups and create events.
