Environmental Impact
Working in conjunction with Positive Planet, Memiah has determined its carbon footprint for the 12-month period ending 31 March 2024 to be approximately 182.0 tCO2e which is a reduction on last year's carbon footprint of 504.3 tCO2e. Last year included a one-off investment facilitating the redevelopment of a brownfield site in our local community. A more relevant comparison is against 229.8 tCO2e, which excluded the investment. Therefore, this year has reduced back down in line with the output in 2022.
Memiah remains committed to environmental stewardship, and has offset our total emissions with Ecologi. We will continue our efforts to reduce our emissions and offset any emissions that cannot be avoided.

Taxable profit differs from profit as reported in the statement of comprehensive income because of items of income or expense that are taxable or deductible in other years and items that are never taxable or deductible. The company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.
