Principal activities of the company

Giving2Ghana, a community interest company. That was created to foster strong connections between the West African diaspora in Dorset and the community of Atiavi in Ghana’s Volta Region. Our mission continues to harness the resources and cultural heritage of the diaspora to drive impactful support in Atiavi, focusing on educational growth and social opportunities.

Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 January 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Giving2Ghana, a community interest company, remains active in 2024, fostering strong connections between the West African diaspora in Dorset and the community of Atiavi in Ghana’s Volta Region. Our mission continues to harness the resources and cultural heritage of the diaspora to drive impactful support in Atiavi, focusing on educational growth and social opportunities. This year, we strengthened our commitment to sustainable development by expanding volunteer engagement across Dorset, encouraging local supporters to contribute their skills and resources to our initiatives. This growing network of dedicated volunteers enables us to provide continuous support, from educational mentoring to skill-sharing, empowering Atiavi’s youth with tools for future success. We are also proud to have laid the groundwork for an under-13 football team in Atiavi, creating a valuable opportunity for young people to build teamwork skills, enjoy sport, and connect with their community. Our vision includes ongoing support for this budding team, providing equipment and training resources to inspire a passion for sport and personal development. As we look forward to 2025, Giving2Ghana remains committed to fostering collaboration between Dorset and Atiavi, empowering both communities and supporting the youth through educational and athletic programmes.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders, comprising of a board of three directors, have scheduled quarterly meetings to discuss business operations. As part of our growth strategy, we have engaged a wider range of volunteers in 2024 to expand our provision of services. These volunteers have been invited to participate in the quarterly meetings to provide valuable insights and consultations.
