The company organises cultural activities to promote Hong Kong culture. It started in 2021, and have organised a wide range of activities, including film festival and cultural festival. During the financial year of 2023 to 2024, we have organised the second edition of “Hong Kong March” cultural festival, which benefits participants across the UK to have access to Hong Kong cultural activities, including food experiences, traditional Hong Kong cultural shows. We have hired a part-time staff to handle the logistics and administration of the festival. With the help of partners across the country, we managed to coorganise more than 40 activities. After the Hong Kong March cultural festival, due to fiscal and resource concerns, the company has not been active since April 2024. Most of its activities were post-event work, including providing reimbursements.
The company’s stakeholders are the directors and participants of our cultural events. Consultation meetings with directors was held to consult the next step of the CIC. We agreed that due to financial and practical concerns, the continuation of HKUC is unlikely and have proceeded the termination procedure. A meeting with a group of participants and volunteers was held to collect feedbacks, and the decision to terminate the company was widely agreed.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
