Company activities and impact

Fifi’s Vision C.I.C has provided support for many families with additional needs over the last year. It has done this in various ways by providing both physical and mental support, such as weekly support groups- preventing the isolation and loneliness that comes from caring for a sen child, days out- which have created opportunities families have otherwise been unable to experience, care packages- to improve mental health and encourage self-care, parent respite sessions- enabling parent-carers to socialise and relax without the children which improves mental health and enables self-care, dinner nights- provides a safe haven for families to retreat to outside of the home as well as teach life skills: we were also able to provide food vouchers and warm dinner to those in financial difficulties, special guest speakers from various organisations- reducing barriers to organisations and improving relations between the families we help and those who are meant to help them, Community walks outside- improving physical & mental health for families as well as reducing anxiety and enabling them to participate in the community outside of our support group, signposting to organisations best suited to individual needs and problems-providing tangible help to our families through the ever confusing minefield of caring for sen & disabled children. Fifi’s Vision does not require any form of diagnosis or proof of disability to become a member, which opens it to more families who are still on waiting lists for diagnosis and need help. There are no restrictions on age/ gender/ religion/ sexual orientation/ location or type of disability, making it one of the most inclusive support groups in our community.
