Darlington Parent Carer Forum has continued to work with parents and carers of children with additional needs and/or disabilities. We have offered monthly peer support drop in sessions for parents within a multitude of school settings in Darlington and online. Schools have reported a positive change and parents have told us that they are feeling less isolated. We run support sessions to the wider community at two different hubs to ensure wider community inclusion. We work with other agencies across education and healthcare to ensure we are delivering high quality sessions that are relevant.
We run regular surveys for parents and carers that benefit our services to determine whether we are delivering sessions to meet their expectations. We hold monthly Steering Group meetings with volunteers that represent the different departments within the forum to discuss feedback collected and to discuss short, medium and long terms plans based on survey results from our parents and observations from our volunteers. We regularly speak with other parent carer forums within the region, mental health experts, council leaders and NHS representatives to ensure we up to date on policy changes and signposting parents to the most effective agencies.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £7840. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed. Directors were not remunerated for their role as director, payments made was compensation for services delivered. Payments were in line with other staff members carrying out the same duties.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
