For the year ending 29 November 2023 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
The member has not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The director acknowledges his responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
The company has taken advantage of section 444(1) of the Companies Act 2006 and opted not to deliver to the registrar a copy of the company's Profit and Loss Account.

Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
Janus Arts Limited is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number 11695666 . The registered office is 17 Station Road, Sunbury-on-Thames, TW16 6SB.
The principal activity of the cokpany during the year was that of buying and selling of art and collecttibles.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 section 1A Small Entities "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006.
2.2. Going Concern Disclosure
The Company is in a net liability position of £830,442 (2022: £752,180) as a result of amounts owed to creditors as detailed in notes 8 and 9 of the financial statements. The Director is continuously reviewing their plans and forecasts and believes that the going concern basis is appropriate in the short term. However there is a risk that the Company could require further funding or support in order to secure its trading position. Without this, there may be considered to be a potential material uncertainty regarding the Company's independent ability to continue as a going concern. The Director confidently believes that with continued support, as the markets recover, the issue is mitigated.
2.3. Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.
Sale of goods
Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods has transferred to the buyer. This is usually at the point that the customer has signed for the delivery of the goods.
2.4. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:

2.5. Stocks and Work in Progress
Stocks are stated at the lower of cost and net realisable value, being the estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell.
At each Balance Sheet date, stocks are assessed for impairment. If stock is impaired, the carrying amount is reduced to its selling price less costs to complete and sell. The impairment loss is recognised immediately in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings.
2.6. Financial Instruments
The Company only enters into basic financial instrument transactions that result in the recognition of financial assets and liabilities like trade and other debtors and creditors, loans from banks and other third parties, loans to related parties and investments in ordinary shares.
2.7. Foreign Currencies
Monetary assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rate ruling on the date of the transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating profit.
2.8. Valuation of investments
Investment in subsidiaries are measured at cost less accumulated impairment.

11. Related Party Transactions
The Company has taken the available exemption under FRS 102 Section 1A to not to disclose related party transactions with other wholly owned group companies.  Details of the debtor balances held with group companies can be found in note 7.
During the year J Kulukundis, the Company's director advanced £97,207.00 (2022: £69,123.00) to the Company. The director also charged the business £nil (2022: £30,600.00) and was reimbursed £18,035.00 (2022: £49,204.00). During the year the Company sold items to the director for £5,829.00 (2022: £11,087.00). The items were sold at the value of the lower of cost and net realisable value. The Company also purchased items from the director of £4,724.00. 
At the balance Sheet date £125,281.00 (2022: £47,214.00) was owed by Janus Arts Limited to the director. This balance is interest free and repayable on demand.
12. Ultimate Controlling Party
The company's ultimate controlling party is J Kulukundis by virtue of his ownership of 100% of the issued share capital in the company.
