Strategic Report for the Year Ended 31 March 2024
The directors present their strategic report for the year ended 31 March 2024.
Principal activity
The principal activity of the company is that of a dormant company.
Fair review of the business
The company did not trade during the current period and preceding financial year and made neither a profit nor a loss. There were also no other recognised gains and losses for the current period or preceding financial year. Accordingly, neither a Statement of Comprehensive Income nor a Statement of Changes in Equity have been presented.
The Directors do not recommend the payment of a dividend (2023: £Nil).
In the opinion of the Directors, on the basis that the company did not trade throughout the year and has never traded since incorporation, an analysis using KPIs for the company is not necessary or appropriate.
Principal risks and uncertainties
The management of the business and the execution of the company's strategy was subject to a number of risks during the year.
On 25 May 2021 the entire issued share capital of Cambourne Business Park Limited, the immediate parent company, was acquired by South Cambridgeshire District Council and at the date of these financial statements the company was subject to the group-wide risks and uncertainties as a member of the group headed by the Council.
Further discussion of the risks and uncertainties, in the context of the group as a whole, is provided in the Council's own annual report which does not form part of this report.

Statement of Directors' Responsibilities
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for preparing the Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
Company law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the directors have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law). Under company law the directors must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the directors are required to:
• |
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently; |
• |
make judgements and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent; |
• |
state whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and |
• |
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business. |
The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Accounting policies |
Summary of significant accounting policies and key accounting estimates
The principal accounting policies applied in the preparation of these financial statements are set out below. These policies have been consistently applied to all the years presented, unless otherwise stated.
Statement of compliance
These financial statements were prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006'.
Basis of preparation
These financial statements have been prepared using the historical cost convention except that as disclosed in the accounting policies certain items are shown at fair value.
The financial statements are presented in sterling which is the functional currency of the company.
Summary of disclosure exemptions
The accounts do not include a cash flow statement because the company, as a dormant entity, is exempt from the requirements to prepare such a statement.
Trade debtors
Trade debtors are amounts due from customers for merchandise sold or services performed in the ordinary course of business.
Trade debtors are recognised initially at the transaction price. They are subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less provision for impairment. A provision for the impairment of trade debtors is established when there is objective evidence that the company will not be able to collect all amounts due according to the original terms of the receivables.
Share capital
Ordinary shares are classified as equity. Equity instruments are measured at the fair value of the cash or other resources received or receivable, net of the direct costs of issuing the equity instruments. If payment is deferred and the time value of money is material, the initial measurement is on a present value basis.
