Company activities and impact

The Hair Sanctuary Training CIC was established with the primary objective of benefiting various stakeholders, including: -Hairstylists seeking to enhance their understanding of textured hair. -Foster carers, residential care staff, and educators in learning how to properly care for and maintain hair, as well as the importance of employing appropriate language when interacting with children from diverse cultural backgrounds. -The local community by fostering stronger connections between parents/carers and children through hair care practices. -Providing comprehensive training and support to empower individuals within the community, enabling them to achieve both social and financial advancements. Our training encompasses a variety of programs intended to enhance skills and promote personal development. However, in the current year, the organisation has experienced a deficiency in social and financial activities. Looking ahead, we have an engaging array of activities and campaigns planned for the forthcoming year, all focused on the education and development of community members' lives and aimed at promoting increased engagement within our neighbourhood.

Consultation with stakeholders

The director of our company, originally from the vibrant city of Manchester, brings a wealth of experience from her extensive career in the hairdressing industry, spanning an impressive number of years. Her deep understanding of the nuances involved in nurturing new talent is a cornerstone of our mission. She is particularly attuned to the needs of aspiring hairdressers and entrepreneurs who are eager to embark on their own journey in this creative field. In response to the evident gap between market demands and the pool of emerging professionals, The Hair Sanctuary was established as a vital resource, designed to empower individuals to thrive in their hairdressing careers. Through meticulous research and insightful responses collected from our membership forms, we have identified a strong interest among candidates for both structured training and hands-on experience. To facilitate this, we have introduced an Opinion Box and Feedback Card for our members, creating an accessible way for them to express their thoughts and suggestions regarding their training experiences and the resources available to them. In our ongoing effort to foster community and collaboration, we regularly host engaging sessions and consultations, such as our popular coffee mornings. These informal gatherings provide a welcoming atmosphere for members to come together, share ideas, and discuss the latest developments and enhancements that could be made to our training programs. Our commitment to building a strong network goes beyond our organization; we actively collaborate with local community partners and other training providers. This holistic approach not only enriches our members’ experiences but also contributes to a thriving ecosystem that supports the growth and success of emerging hairdressing talent in our region.
