Company activities and impact

PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. In 2022-2023, Raise Our Voice has passionately worked to support children’s language, social, and emotional development, focusing on ensuring that no child’s needs go unmet. Guided by the mantra “every voice is heard,” our CIC has made great strides through partnerships, events, and community-driven initiatives. Throughout our time we have actively sought collaborations with local organisations and charities to bring learning opportunities to children in need. Since the forming of our organisation, we’ve worked closely with respected charities like ELHAP, Haven House, and RNIB, as well as local Redbridge organisations. One of our highlights for the year of 2023 was our partnership with the Mayor of Redbridge's charities, including One Place East and King George and Queen’s Hospital, where we raised over £4,000 during a highly attended Coronation Festival held at Wanstead Evergreen Park during the bank holiday weekend of May 2023. This event was a major success, allowing us to connect with the community and expand our impact. We also supported the successive Mayor’s charities, raising funds for the London Air Ambulance and ELHAP, broadening our reach to children facing life-threatening accidents and severe disabilities. Our ongoing collaboration with RNIB included a sensory art program where children explored crafts using all senses except sight. This initiative raised over £500 for RNIB and increased awareness of visual impairments in the community. In addition, we supported families in Temporary Accommodation by partnering with local councillors. We provided over £3,000 worth of gift cards and food donations to families in the Ryedale Centre, Barking, ensuring they had essential support over Christmas. Throughout the year, we engaged in local festivals, hosted awareness days, and collaborated with Lifelites charity, whose technology benefits children in hospices across the UK. These accomplishments highlight just some of our initiatives this year, showcasing Raise Our Voice’s dedication to uplifting young children in need.
