Supporting women experiencing domestic violence in partnership with Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid by funding their Children’s Day project allowing family days out for displaced children and their mothers, creating a sense of normalcy and opportunity to build friendships and make positive memories (£5,000). Also funded women’s coffee mornings for women who have recently been housed and isolated from friends and family due to restrictions on visitors for women at risk of violence (£780). Creating community for rough sleepers in Brighton and Manchester in partnership with Just Life Foundation by funding several community events for volunteer befrienders and beneficiaries to create opportunities for positive relationships which give beneficiaries confidence and motivation to create sustained lifestyle change (£865). Creating safe spaces for young women refugees in Brighton in partnership with The Hummingbird Project Community Group through the creation of a community group specifically for women (£1,000). In total, £7,645 was donated towards partnerships with local charities to enable them to carry out activities to support people affected by homelessness, poverty, rough sleeping or having to flee their homes to domestic abuse and or seeking refuge in the UK.
House of Cinn conducts meetings and discussions with fundraising managers and volunteers working at our partner charities to determine their needs and areas that lack funding in order to ensure our funds are dedicated to where there is a need in the community.
