Notes to the accounts

  1. Average number of employees

During the year the average number of employees was 1 (2023: 1).

  2. Capital Commitments Note

Alpacas are a niche livestock market, the company expects to make future capital asset commitments that will support animal welfare enhancements and to improve the efficiency of its operation, particularly during mating.

  3. Contingent Liabilities Note

The future growth of the company is dependent on its ability to breed genetically superior and healthy female alpacas that are able to bare offspring. This growth will be dependent on the company's existing alpacas both producing female cria, and who are capable of producing offspring. The UK Government is phasing out payments to farming businesses under its Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) scheme. The company is not dependent on agricultural subsidies, however expects its payments under this scheme to reduce by 50% in 2024.
