COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

AMAZING THERAPY CENTRE C.I.C.

Company Number: 14977712 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 July 2024

Company activities and impact

During the financial year July 2023 – July 2024, aMAZing Therapy Centre CIC has been dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of vulnerable individuals and communities across the Thames Valley area. We offer accessible, high-quality counselling services not only to those who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy but also to individuals who can afford to pay the full costs of their sessions. This inclusive approach allows us to generate funds that can be used towards concessionary services, ensuring that we can provide care to those facing financial hardships as well. Our project has directly impacted the community by: Improving Mental Health Access: We have provided affordable or free counselling sessions to underserved populations, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent individuals from accessing mental health support. The fees from funding and our full-paying clients contribute to this accessibility, allowing us to reach more individuals in need. Building Trusting Therapeutic Relationships: Each client has been offered a minimum of 6 -12 sessions, allowing sufficient time to establish a trusting relationship with their counsellor. Evidence shows that clients typically begin to trust and open up between sessions 2 and 3, underscoring the importance of continued support. Supporting Mental Health Professionals: We have engaged trained and experienced counsellors, compensating them fairly at a rate of £30 - £40 per session. This not only ensures high-quality care for our clients but also sustains and supports local mental health professionals. Community Outreach and Engagement: A portion of our budget has been dedicated to marketing and promotion, allowing us to reach and inform those in need of our services. Through these efforts, we have been able to connect with diverse community members and raise awareness about mental health resources. Through this dual approach, aMAZing Therapy Centre CIC has made significant strides in fostering mental well-being and resilience in our community. We remain committed to breaking down barriers to mental health support, promoting a compassionate and inclusive approach to mental health care for all.

Consultation with stakeholders

Consultation with Stakeholders At aMAZing Therapy Centre CIC, our key stakeholders include clients, counsellors, local community organisations, funding bodies, and full-paying clients who contribute to our financial sustainability. We recognise the importance of ongoing consultation with these stakeholders to ensure our services meet community needs and to inform our decision-making processes. Clients: We regularly gather feedback from clients through surveys and one-on-one discussions at various stages of their therapy journey. This feedback has guided our decision to provide a minimum of 6-12 sessions, as many clients emphasised the importance of having sufficient time to build trust with their counsellors. Additionally, we have extended our session availability in response to client requests for more flexible scheduling. Counsellors: Our counsellors participate in their own monthly supervision sessions, which not only support their professional development but also serve as an opportunity for them to share insights and suggestions with their supervisor/s. Community Organisations: We work closely with local community organisations to identify gaps in mental health services within the Thames Valley area. These organisations often provide valuable insights into the needs of vulnerable populations. In response to their feedback, we have expanded our outreach efforts to include more community events and collaborations to raise awareness about mental health resources. Funding Bodies: We maintain open communication with our funding partners, providing them with updates on our project progress and impact. Feedback from funding bodies will help us fine-tune our budget allocations, ensuring that a reasonable portion is directed toward marketing, promotion. Full-Paying Clients: As a key source of revenue, full-paying clients indirectly support our concessionary services. We consult them informally through feedback forms, which have helped us enhance our service offerings and maintain high standards of care. We ensure that these clients are aware of the positive impact their contributions have on our ability to provide concessionary services for those in need. Through these consultations, aMAZing Therapy Centre CIC continuously adapts and improves our services to better meet the needs of our community, demonstrating our commitment to being responsive to stakeholder feedback.
