The company has continued to deliver trauma-informed yoga classes to refugee and asylum seekers, those with drug dependency and we have also launched a community class for those suffering with mental helath issues. These classes remain free or donation based. We have been working with organisations to increase the accessibility of the classes.
We held a day with a selection of our students dicussing how trauma informed yoga can help them in their communities. We discussed how we could improve access to the classes and any barriers around attending. Part of this learning was understanding how yoga is percieved and that it is not a religion and can be practised by all faiths. Also good to increase men joining the class and we decided to start a separate class for muslim men in the refugeee community and this has gone well.
