In the past year, GD Teen Recruitment CIC faced challenges in running multiple activities due to limited availability and commitment. As a result, we were only able to hold one major event, which was a Young Entrepreneurs Business Networking Event. This in-person event was designed to provide aspiring young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to network, learn, and gain insights from experienced professionals in the business community. The event featured three guest speakers, each an expert in their respective fields, who shared valuable advice on topics such as starting a business, growing a startup, and building a professional network. The event provided attendees with practical knowledge and inspiration, fostering a supportive environment for young entrepreneurs to connect and exchange ideas. Although we had intended to run additional workshops and events throughout the year, these plans were impacted by the availability of resources and the competing commitments of staff. Despite this, the Young Entrepreneurs Business Networking Event was well-received and marked a significant opportunity for the young people who attended to gain skills, knowledge, and motivation for their entrepreneurial aspirations. Looking ahead, the future direction of GD Teen Recruitment CIC remains uncertain. This uncertainty arises from future- planned discussion points internally. While we remain committed to the philosophy of supporting young people and addressing their employment needs, the feasibility of future activities will depend on the evolving nature availability of resources. We are currently assessing the long-term sustainability of the CIC.
