Principal Activities Khadi London is a not-for-profit knowledge hub in regenerative fibres and textiles. The four pillars of our work are Knowledge, Collaboration,Community and Heritage. Community benefitting communities during the year 2023/4 involved: 1. Creating and running 'Threads of Change' in London during October 2023. This was a free entry event during a whole week which included panel discussions, key note speakers, craft workshops and an exhibition. Speakers included regenerative farming organisations, craft textile producers and education practitioners, with some travelling from India and elsewhere to join us. 2. Building a new website to showcase our knowledge services. 3. Participating in University placement schemes to share our expertise with students across a variety of disciplines. 4. Offering skills workshops in areas such as textile craft. 5. Partnering with community craft organisations in India to apply for research funding to help support and develop their activities.
Khadi London CIC's stakeholders include: 1. Our network based globally but currently mainly in the UK and India. 2. Our small team of practitioners who support our work involving delivery of workshops, events, research and consultancy. 3 Our partners who we work with collaboratively to innovate within regenerative textile systems and support through research funding and consultancy.
The total amount received by directors for event delivery work was £500. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors which require to be disclosed.
