In the last 12 months The Walking for Well-being project has engaged with 28 people. There have been two regular walks each week which have accommodated low to medium fitness levels. The walk and talk sessions have generated some excellent feedback which include. Increased Fitness. Reduced Isolation. Social Inclusion. Improved mental and physical health. The age range of people who attend are from 18-78. Our gifts of kindness project has seen over 1000 gifts given out to residents in care homes across the local area. These residents often have no family to buy a gift for them. All of the gifts have been donated and collected by volunteers. This year we have worked with 2 schools and 3 separate work places to highlight the isolation and lack of inclusion of the elderly in our community. Across the two project we have reached 103 people this year.
