Empathy North West provides a quality and theraputic service at the point of need. This year we have: - Offered services to those suffering from domestic violence and other trauma - Addressed need through a wide range of treatments including psychotherapy, as well as holistic and creative art therapy to vulnerable young people and adults - Provide a counselling service to several schools in the area - Offered services at a crucial point - Remained an affordable and accessible offer for those in need in the community
The stakeholders are residents of the Wigan area, local schools, health centres and GP patients. The directors live in the community and have a good working relationship with other agencies in and around the area and with the local Council. Other agencies can refer clients to us if they wish. We monitor the results guided by our professional awarding body BACP/PTUK. Once clients have completed their therapy an evaluation form is sent to the referrer as well as the client also completing an end form. We have seen hundreds of patients from age of 3 through adulthood. We listen to all our clients and organisations in regard to how we can improve the service and where applicable have made minor changes including allowing clients to self-refer. We adapt our service and offer based on the needs presenting in the local area.
