Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. |
Land and buildings - 100 years to leave residual value of £326,086 |

TAXATION |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
DEFERRED TAX |
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
GOING CONCERN |
On 24th November 2022, the company restructured. The lease with the company's tenant came to an end and the company stopped providing service and administration charges to this tenant. |
All staff other than the Directors were made redundant. |
A new lease agreement has been agreed with a new tenant, and the company continued to rent its property under the terms of this lease. |
The company continues as a going concern. The future of the company and its activities will be discussed at the AGM. |

7. | OTHER FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS |
The 2017 accounts include a provision for anticipated future medical malpractice insurance. At the time of preparation it was understood that this cost would continue until the year ended 31st March 2018 and these costs were accrued for in the 2017 accounts. |
It is now anticipated that medical malpractice insurance will continue to be payable for potentially another 12 years. The malpractice insurance cost currently included in the accounts relates only to the amount paid in 2024 and totals £5,600 (2023 - £5,600). |
The Directors are currently consulting with the malpractice insurers to ascertain the total amount payable at the Balance Sheet date. |

8. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
The company undertook transactions with Grabadoc Healthcare Society Limited, a company limited by guarantee with substantially the same members as the company, as follows: |
At the balance sheet date the company owed £440,842 to Grabadoc Healthcare Society Limited (2023 - £444,681). |
9. | ULTIMATE CONTROLLING PARTY |
The controlling party of the company is the Board which consists of elected representatives of the membership. The ultimate controlling party of the company are the members of the Association. |
10. | LIMITED BY GUARANTEE |
The Company is limited by guarantee and does not have share capital. |
