Now in a Minute Theatre did not take part in any paid or funded contracts this financial year due to staff availability changes however we were thrilled to bring new skills to our workforce by taking part in a Sensory Tai Chi course that has been very inspiring for our new project on sensory movements in drama. From this we started marketing a new groups called The Troupe - a Sensory Young persons' drama club that would be available to SEN schools across Kent. We started staring on social media our Sensory walk projects where we were encouraging those still isolating or unable to go to crowed areas/ productions to still find sensory drama in nature around us. We also spent many hours developing a Sensory Seeker party template for a Uk wide commercial children's entertainment company to promote inclusion and acceptance. Our talks with schools on the Troupe led us to developing a relationship with Kent Autistic Trust who are interested in something similar for there adult residents. We sent off applications for funding for these sessions also. Speaking at the PMLD Conference was a great way that the company reached out to those looking for another way of engaging and understanding the world that children with complex needs live. As well as speaking on our process and ambitions for sensory theatre we also learnt lots on the other areas of PMLD that build a better picture of our audiences wants and needs.
