The CIC has during the year 23/24 supported the veteran community in South Wiltshire with the following activities: Enabling and sponsoring Salisbury & Amesbury Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club (AFVBC) Brew n Banter meetings every Friday. Arranging AFVBC breakfasts 3 times per month, paying for homeless veterans or those living in supported accommodation. Subsidising AFVBC Christmas Ball, Summer Ball, and various other such events. Supported the AFVBC allotment. Set up a stand for Salisbury Armed Forces Day Set up a new Brew n Banter meeting in Amesbury every Wednesday. The AFVBC supported by the CIC continues to have a massive benefit to the veteran community by combating loneliness, and isolation by providing easy access to events in Salisbury and Amesbury. Bu supporting the Brew n Banter events the CIC has enabled an informal veterans drop in once a month which is attended by OP Courage and the DWP. Other veterans interested charities also attend these events with their clients to introduce them to re - socialising. The CIC income has been mainly from the Field Kitchen selling breakfasts on Salisbury Market once a month. The CIC purchased a large 6m x 4m gazebo with a 50% fund matching grant from Wiltshire Council which helps the AFVBC with its outreach activities.
The CIC meets regularly with the AFVBC steering group which consists of seven AFVBC with various responsibilities across the group.
