COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

JUICE COMMUNITY PROJECT COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 06146182 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2024

Company activities and impact

In the last year we have seen over 8000 people come through the centre this is for a variety of activities and support .It is very difficult to record all the interactions we have with the community so the figure could be much higher. We have seen over the year an increase in the number of requests we seen for emergency food but fortunately we have also seen an increase in the number of donations we have received from the community. We have worked with Waitrose and the Coop to collect their surplus food that can be distributed in the community. We were able to give out 105 Christmas Hampers in the local community working with Bromford Housing ,Police and the Local Health Centre making sure that our most vulnerable residents . This year also saw the most packed lunch packs that we have ever given out over the summer as part of our summer activity programme Fit and Fed 1450 this is an increase of 600 on the previous year .We also ran a couple of programmes for young people and those older people in the community who were suffering due to anti-social behaviour .Both were well attended and there became a greater understanding of each other points of view . We have worked with the Community Learning Team at South Gloucestershire council on a course for those in the community who struggled to read this was highly successful.

Consultation with stakeholders

We regular consult with our local community and service users on the projects and services thay would like in the community. As we are a small organisation we can respond very quickly to the requests that we receive. We have worked with South Gloucestershire Council over the last year helping to engage with residents over the new park.
