Company activities and impact

Thrive Inside continues to find ways to develop the in-cell course we have written and created to supply them free of charge to any prisoner or person dealing with addiction recovery in the community who cannot afford the course. We have loaded the course online now as a digital version, ready to offer it to the MOJ who we have had an initial meeting with as they are planning to roll out 50,000 laptops within HMPPS. This has meant that the courses have needed to be edited and rerecorded for this format. This 28-hour 2 part 8- week / session course is now available on-line by donation as a way to generate funds to support the programme We have presented a trauma-sensitive active listening course to a veterans charity and some drug and alcohol projects, as well as a trial run with a group of people in addiction recovery as an initial step into a full training programme. We have run online courses and in-person workshops to help fund the project and offered free spaces to those in need who want to attend, including ex-offenders. We have also been providing some one-to-one support for men who have been in prison and people struggling with addictions. We are in the process of discussion with a therapeutic prison to see if we can get the in-person groups going again in a custodial setting.
