The past year has been a testament to resilience, compassion, and the pressing need for mental health support across the UK. Despite the challenges we’ve faced, our mission to provide accessible counselling services has remained at the heart of everything we do. However, the financial landscape continues to pose significant challenges. With minimal external funding and donations, the service has relied solely on personal contributions from the director. While this has enabled us to serve those in need, it is no longer a sustainable model. We remain deeply committed to our vision and are actively seeking solutions to ensure the longevity of our services. Service Highlights Over the past year, we provided free counselling services to 46 adults across the UK. Each of these individuals received compassionate, professional support tailored to their unique needs. Many clients expressed how the sessions have helped them navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and interpersonal difficulties. These stories underline the importance of accessible mental health care. Financial Overview Operating without consistent funding continues to be our primary obstacle. To keep the service running, the director personally funded room hire, administrative costs, and other expenses. Recognising the financial strain, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close the free counselling service mid-year. Future Goals: Our free counselling service is currently on hold until we can secure sufficient funding to cover facility hire, administrative fees, and counselling resources. We are pursuing partnerships, grant applications, and community-based fundraising efforts to ensure the sustainability of our services. Once funding is secured, we aim to not only reinstate the free counselling service but also expand our reach to support more individuals in underserved areas. Acknowledgements We extend our heartfelt thanks to: Clients: For their trust and courage in seeking support. Community Members: For advocating for mental health awareness and sharing the importance of our services. Volunteers and Supporters: For their unwavering belief in our mission. Mental health is not a luxury; it is a necessity. The demand for our services highlights the critical need for accessible support across the UK. While this year has brought significant challenges, we are more determined than ever to overcome them and continue serving our community. We believe in a future where no one faces mental health challenges alone, and we are committed to making that vision a reality.
