Principal activities of the company

We are pleased to report that the facilities at Grange Meadow are continuing to be well used by the Community. Turnover was better this year as more things are being done since Covid

Company policy on disabled employees

Everything on the Meadow has to be accessible to all

Additional information

It was a great sadness this year that Robert Trotman who has been involved with Grange Meadow for over 40 years passed away on the 11/10/2023

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover represents net invoiced sales of goods and services, including VAT. Turnover is recognised when the company satisfies its contractual obligations to customers.

    Other accounting policies

    The accounts/financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008)

Company activities and impact

The Company runs the Grange Meadow and all the buildings on it: Rifle & Model Car Clubs provide a venue for those interested in those Sports. Bowls Club is open to all ages interested in this sport and runs open "taster" days. Green Hut is where ladies of all ages take part in various fitness classes based on physical ability. There is also an outside free exercise gym for all The Meadow is where the village fair, since1107, has been held. The main Pavilion has multiply uses: Parish Council Office Storage facilities for the Local Radio Changing room for all the football clubs that use the field - these are from 9 years up to older players. So far only 2 female teams but working on it. A main hall and bar for people to hire for parties or other occasions. The Warm Welcome is based in the main hall & outside of the winter is also a place where people come to ask advise on benefits, free wifi etc An Art Exhibition is held annually for local artists to show their work and sell it. An annual Music in the Meadow is held to provide a music venue local, local bands & affordable. The Panto rehearsals take place here, for an affordable pant for all locally . We are trying to find someone to run a youth club at least once a week And we have just planted a Community Orchard on the part of the field behind the owls club

Consultation with stakeholders

At all the things on the meadow we have suggestions boxes & suggestion sheets to be filled in. At least 3 times a year there are open meetings at the Pavilion to come and say what to you want ? Need? While people attending the Advice & Welcome hubs have long talks. And at the Music evening, Comedy Evening & Pantomime held in the village hall was always talk to people and ask what do you want? from us
