Our community aims to provide support and assistance that enable new arrivals from Hong Kong and enhancing socio-cultural connections between Hongkongers and the British society. Activities like seminar, webinar, hosting workshop mainly help and assist the new HK immigrants who are living in Brighton and Hove to understand the culture differences & adaptation, education, housing, transportation, career or start-up business development in order to help them to settled into life in UK more easily. During the financial year 2023-2024, our activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - seminar or courses (eg. Welcome courses, English courses, life in UK seminar) for the newcomers from Hong Kong to improve their understanding of UK and the language to integrate to the society; - 4 festival events (eg. Dragon Boat Festival, Hong Kong March, Xmas and Lunar New Year) has provided an opportunities for new immigration from Hong Kong for culture sharing with those local people by sharing Hong Kong style food, drinks and games like milk tea, pineapple buns, chess and mahjong. Also, to understand more about their needs and any metal health problem need to be concerned due to the political situation in Hong Kong. We invited the local people to understand more why the HongKongers will come to UK.
