Company activities and impact

Black Teachers Connect continues to support Black teachers in their development and careers. This year has been another successful year for the company. In the light of schools getting back to normal since Covid, we have continued to support Black teachers with their careers. One of the main focuses we have had has been supporting early career teachers with our mentorship scheme. We have been successful in bringing teachers more experienced to support the professional development of our teachers. We have also spent time working with other networks and local MPs campaigning for change in the curriculum to support diversity and inclusion to ensure both students and teachers are represented. We have continued to build a strong community with local online events, providing support to parents and students plus community leaders. We have engaged in open dialogue to understand the issues that our community faces and action plans in order to address these. We have also been able to attend several events working with other groups such as Mission 44 founded by Sir Lewis Hamilton
