During this financial year, Youth Battersea has been working with numerous youth organisations in Battersea and the youth workers supporting the local young people through providing workforce training, events and advice. By providing a collective of youth organisations we are able to get the youth worker working in collaboration and sharing knowledge, resources and skills to strengthen the offer for young people. Joint training for youth workers has been a great way to form relationships. Our events have supported young people through sharing advice and fun activities.
Youth Battersea hosted a youth worker event to get the views and opinions of the professionals working with young people in Battersea. The session comprised of social workers, youth workers, teachers, safeguarding professionals and covered voluntary, local authority and schools. This was a great way to generate conversations, to find common issues and think about solutions to the issues that the local young people are facing. At our events we had a team of young people speaking to and gathering the views of the people in attendance. At the same time we have also ran 4 focus groups with young people to discuss issues and solutions.
No remuneration was received
