Principal activities of the company

The Polish Clan Association CIC is dedicated to several primary objectives that guide its work in supporting the community. The organisation is committed to promoting social inclusion by addressing the needs of individuals in the London Borough of Hounslow and nearby areas who may be excluded due to ethnic origin, religion, beliefs, or socio-economic circumstances. With a particular focus on the Polish community, the Association provides a local support network offering services and activities that enable effective participation in the wider community. It also delivers education and training programs to help individuals integrate into local society and organizes events to foster community cohesion while celebrating Polish arts, culture, and heritage. Advancing education is another key focus, with the Association offering educational opportunities that include tuition in English and Polish as well as lessons on Polish culture, traditions, and heritage. These efforts aim to preserve cultural identity while aiding integration. The Association also strives to overcome barriers to community engagement, particularly language challenges, by creating spaces where Polish individuals can connect, share skills, and learn together. This approach supports smoother integration into the broader community and promotes mutual understanding. A significant aspect of the organisation’s mission is fostering community engagement. By organising social and educational activities, the Association encourages interaction between the Polish community and the wider public, building trust, confidence, and reducing misunderstandings. The Polish Clan Association ensures its activities enrich the lives of residents by prioritizing accessibility and inclusivity for people of all ages, abilities, and interests. Activities are carefully planned and reviewed to align with public benefit principles, as outlined in the Companies House General Guidance. Between March 2023 and March 2024, the Association achieved considerable success in delivering a variety of events and initiatives. These included celebrations such as a family party for King Charles III’s coronation, the Polish Heritage Day Festival at Lampton Park, a summer BBQ at Hounslow Youth Centre, and a Polish Festival in West London honoring Polish Airmen. Other events included a Parliament visit with MP Seema Malhotra, a Halloween party, a Christmas fair, and a UV disco party for children. In December 2023, the Association supported families, elderly individuals, and the homeless by distributing Christmas hampers filled with food, toys, and presents. Funded by the Polish Embassy in London and local donors, this initiative has become a cornerstone of support for those facing financial hardship. Weekly activities such as the Monday Family Club, held at Hounslow Youth Centre, offer a welcoming space for children and adults to socialise and participate in activities. Programs include traditional Polish dance classes, arts and crafts, and fitness sessions, drawing consistent attendance. Workshops addressing critical issues have also been a focus, particularly in response to domestic violence within the Polish community. In partnership with the Domestic Violence Team, the Association launched awareness campaigns and delivered self-defence courses in Feltham and Hounslow, benefiting many women. A Wellbeing Workshop further supported individuals by raising awareness of available services. The organisation also provides valuable volunteering opportunities for individuals aged 13 and older. These roles enable participants to gain certificates and develop skills, with volunteers contributing to various projects such as event support, packing Christmas hampers, and cleaning graves. The Polish Clan Association CIC remains dedicated to its mission of enriching the lives of the Polish community and fostering meaningful connections within the broader society.
