We are registered with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing offering Classical Ballet , Modern Theatre and Tap. We also offer music tuition and singing lessons with ABRSM and Trinity. We liaise and have association within our local community. This has involved us allowing our premises to be used by local charitable arts organisations and specifically supporting young independent teachers to have access to affordable space. The high cost of travelling further afield, and often elevated tuition costs for elite training is also helped by the formation of links with external professionals that travel to us, along side highly qualified professional staff within the school. Workshops are held regularly that we subsidise by again use of space and volunteer time. We have connections with local schools and offer tuition, running free 6 week blocks of classes to students who financially cannot afford to pay for classes. Several of our families are in receipt scholarship classes, this is in the form of entirely free tuition to students identified via our schools program. Assisted additional training for gifted students. Sibling and family discounts. We regularly partake in Council performances and community events. The environment is welcoming, educational, affordable and meets the physical and mental needs of our members within the community. Our studios are in an area of regeneration and as a non profit company contribute to offering arts provision that is affordable and excellent. 2 full time teachers and 5 part time teachers plus a team of volunteers contribute to our service. We serve approximately 150 members who attend 1-5 times per week. Other local amenities ie. Our local theatre and civic hall benefit from our hire of facilities, thus we support the community beyond our studio. Although the majority of our clients attend recreational classes we have a proven record of students attaining high accolades and working in the industry. Many of these visit and inspire and teach when they return home voluntarily.

Consultation with stakeholders

We communicate with our stakeholders to ensure that we provide good service and are accountable. Parents can ask for a parent/teacher meeting at any time to discuss progress or seek advice re further education in the arts . Our examination results are published within a school media group which is also used for communication of all opportunities open to all students. Teachers have regular meetings and feedback directly any questions or needs that are identified within the school. Parents and students as stakeholders are listened too. We are currently reaching out to minority groups in our immediate area to become as inclusive as we can in the genres of dance we offer, and to expand our curriculum to attract and improve diversity within the school.
