In the financial year 2023, Newham Panthers FC CIC significantly contributed to the community by offering a variety of programs and initiatives that addressed key social and developmental challenges. Through regular football training sessions and youth development programs, the club provided a safe and engaging environment where young people could stay active, build friendships, and develop critical life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience. The club also expanded its mentoring programs, focusing on supporting young people facing academic pressures, mental health challenges, and social isolation. Workshops to build confidence, improve communication skills, and foster positive decision-making equipped participants with tools to overcome personal obstacles and prepare for their futures. Special attention was given to helping GCSE students with exam readiness and career guidance, ensuring they were supported during a pivotal stage of their education. The club also organized community events promoting inclusivity and unity, bringing together families and residents to celebrate youth achievements and encourage collaboration. These activities provided young people with a platform to showcase their talents and strengthened social bonds across the community. By engaging hundreds of participants throughout the year, Newham Panthers FC CIC played a vital role in reducing youth crime rates, improving mental well-being, and fostering a sense of belonging within Newham. The year’s achievements underscored the club’s commitment to empowering young people and building a stronger, more connected community.
Newham Panthers FC CIC places great importance on engaging stakeholders to ensure its programs align with community needs and aspirations. Over the past year, the club conducted a range of consultations to gather valuable feedback and insights from stakeholders, including young participants, parents, local schools, and community leaders. These consultations were carried out through the following methods: Questionnaires and Surveys: The club distributed questionnaires to parents and young people to assess their satisfaction with existing programs and identify areas for improvement. These surveys collected data on the effectiveness of football training sessions, mentoring programs, and workshops, while also inviting suggestions for new initiatives. The feedback revealed a strong demand for more academic support and mental health-focused activities, which have been incorporated into plans. One-to-One Conversations: Personalized discussions were held with parents, young people, and local stakeholders to delve deeper into individual needs and challenges. These conversations allowed the club to understand specific barriers faced by participants, such as financial constraints, limited access to educational resources, and personal struggles with confidence and resilience. The insights gathered informed the design of tailored mentoring and support programs. Focus Groups: The club organized focus groups with youth participants to provide a platform where their voices could be heard directly. These sessions encouraged an open dialogue about their experiences with Newham Panthers FC CIC and their aspirations for future activities. The youth consistently expressed the value they found in combining sports with personal development opportunities. Community Engagement Events: The club held informal events that brought together families, educators, and local organizations to share updates on its work and gather collective feedback. These events fostered a sense of collaboration and ensured that diverse perspectives were included in shaping the club’s direction. By prioritizing consultation with its stakeholders, Newham Panthers FC CIC has been able to refine its programs to better serve the community. The insights gathered have not only strengthened the club’s initiatives but also deepened trust and collaboration with its stakeholders.
