The company supports and inspires creativity in the home. We offer mentoring and coaching for creatives, along with retail opportunities. We partner with likeminded organisations on projects that encourage creativity in the home, especially amongst vulnerable families and those with emerging or complex needs. Primarily we do this with our simple, fun craft kits that are given out free through family services, toddler groups and other appropriate organisations. We also love to resource creativity through inspirational ideas and projects which are featured in our newsletters, blog posts and social media channels. We have volunteering opportunities that combat isolation and build self-esteem as people enjoy making a difference to our communities. And we provide a place to connect with wonderful unique makers and to find wonderful unique products through our online shop. We were established in April 2019 and, although we have continued to run at a lower level due to the family situation of our director, in the financial year 2023-2024 we have benefited the community in the following ways: We continued to offer our products online and in person. This year we attended four events, selling products for nine different makers. £227 of products were donated by makers wishing to support the work of Made Unique and we supported other makers in their creative practice with £192 of income. One event we attended was a community focused May Day Fete where we offered a free craft activity for children who wanted to make a 'May Day Monster'. We continued to support the Red Cross appeal for Ukraine through the sale of crochet hearts both in person and online, raising an additional £14. Bespoke craft kits were commissioned for children's holiday events and in total 120 kits were created, generating £123 for the work of Made Unique, and we donated 9 hours of our time to running these craft sessions.
The company's primary stakeholders are the artists and craftspeople who we are working to support. A number of these are people who were known to the director previously but others are becoming connected into our community through mutual friends, partner organisations, and also now through our newsletters and social media channels. We continued to offer regular consultation with our makers through this year and to champion them through online presence. We were also able to offer in person retail opportunities for makers to both sell and to share about their work. We continue to offer our craft kits on an individual project basis in response to the needs of our partners.
