The company will provide benefit to women who are survivors of domestic abuse, from intersectionality backgrounds (have protected characteristics), who experience multiple disadvantages, who have lived experiences, who’ve been discriminated against, marginalised, oppressed, socio-economically deprived, who want to access employability programmes and courses in a safe space, and gain employment opportunities, in England, Wales or Scotland. -We will provide preparation for employment, accredited qualifications, holistically with women, offering a safe space to learn, and rebuild their lives, moving towards a positive life and future. The voluntary and paid work experience will come from the CIC program being offered. The voluntary and paid work opportunities will help in building up employment skills, history, alongside the success of completing programmes and courses enhancing the opportunity of being successful, moving towards jobs in areas of interest, and assisting with job prospects, in the long term. Increasing employability skills and confidence, independence, and choice of working, becoming a tutor, etc. or choosing to work in other areas. On finishing the women will gain certification of completion. -Programmes and courses will enhance knowledge, employability skills, confidence, aspirations, and mental well-being. Explore and acquire identifying strengths, and areas for improvement. Learn to identify and set SMART goals for the future. -Development of life skills, problem-solving, creativity, communication, personal and professional goals. Assist in identifying learning styles and employment interests. -1-1 mentorship & group coaching, access to workshops by fully experienced and trained DBS-cleared people, who are successful female business leaders, who are helping women build their lives positively. This will be provided with no costs incurred to the women. -CV and interview skills practice provision by volunteers. This will be provided with no costs incurred to the women. -Mentorship and group coaching give direction to the next steps and regain confidence, and set future goals. Using a trauma-inform approach. Will guide in assisting with vital skills around self-care and healing. Providing a sense of community, networking, and support. On finishing the women will gain certification of completion. -Furthermore: The provision of referral letters for any of the women needing it to complementary charities. On finishing the women will gain certification of completion.
Stakeholders are going to be clients, who will be referring and community collaborators. During 2023 clients were consulted and sent a questionnaire. Feedback gathered from potential learners highlighted the importance of having access to education to be able to transition into employment. We are still in our infancy stages. However, informal feedback has been collected through events and coffee mornings, which has informed our initial planning and priorities. Brainstorming sessions are conducted to align the programme development with the needs of the target group.
