The company has been able to engage with it's community in new ways this financial year. The best example of this is in creating and curating an event as part of a broader festival. Here the company was able to interview a prolific and important figure in the local community live on stage. This was significant as the individual has proven to be a role model for many others, especially for those identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and the conversation we were able to have included many wonderful insights into an individual's journey of self discovery and acceptance. This interview was followed by workshop that directly engaged with the community (all ages attended) alongside exhibiting artwork, and curating a performance from a local artist. The workshops allowed the public to make artwork relating to their own experiences with mental health. This event was very significant for the company as it evolved the way in could engage with the community and in a way which elevated the output without compromising on engagement. Outside of this event the company has also been able to collaborate with other charities including MANUP?, Suffolk Mind and Suffolk Pride to host workshops, events and create different forms of content. I continue to work with a group of young men to create a documentary about art and wellbeing, which although is taking much longer that expected will hopefully be ready before the next report. This documentary focuses of the life of 5 local artists and how their artwork aligns with their experiences of positive and ill mental health.
No consultation with stakeholders
