Community Counselling Service (KENT) CIC has continued to offer a low cost service to those in need within the local community. During this year we have provided nearly 7,100 hours of low cost or free counselling sessions enabling many clients to access to the ser-vice we provide that might not otherwise have been able to. We offer medium to long term counselling which is not available through the NHS or IAPT providers. We have over (65) qualified volunteer counsellors; we have also provided over forty (46) trainee counsellors with placements during the year who have all achieved the required hours. We continue to offer placements to students and provide continual personal development training to all counsellors enhancing our professional standards. In our training school which is awarded through ABC to provide Level 2, 3, and 4 counsellor training we have over two hundred and fifteen (215) students in training. This provides much needed funds to support the counselling of clients and the Level 4 students volunteering on placement.
