Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 April 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives: 25% reducing balance.

Company activities and impact

Rise Community CIC provide sport, physical activity and mental well being services nationwide to targeted groups. Our impact & aims are to increase physical activity levels, reduce obesity, combat the mental health crisis, reduce social isolation and increase community cohesion. We've been busy bees delivering 8 amazing projects that drew in a whopping 1031 participants across London & Essex during the past 12 month. Our team put together 5 projects aimed at boosting adult mental and physical well-being, 2 projects aimed at guiding young people away from gang exploitation and 1 project focused on helping females lead a healthier lifestyle. We rocked this , delivering a whopping 6 workshops as part of our 8 projects! We put the spotlight on 3 projects that focused on mental health and well-being, while 2 projects aimed at boosting healthy lifestyles. And, to top it off, we swung into action with a workshop for young people, addressing the risks of being thrust into a gang. Brace yourself for some impressive stats! After delivering 5 Rise Box adult health & wellbeing projects, nearly 700 surveys showed that a whopping 93% felt like they had a mental health makeover! Talk about a powerful health glow-up!

Consultation with stakeholders

ver the past 12 months we have consulted with users and stakeholders such as local authorises, funding bodies such as the postcode lottery trust who have supported Rise Community CIC in the past 12 months. Feedback was positive in relation to what had been delivered and what outcomes where achieved. The only recommendation being to deliver addition frame focused projects moving forward to meet the demand.
