Company activities and impact

LIFE is the Provision of a safe and fun environment, for adult learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, in Nottingham. This year our main focus has been to continue to establish our social enterprise ( cafe called the curious cafe and gift shop). We are based in a deprived area of the city which has a variety of cafes already so we wanted to stand out as different so after lengthy discussions with our beneficiaries we decided to have a themed cafe and they chose Alice in wonderland! Wendy are developing our menu and client base and are working hard to give our students work experience and to help bridge the gap in social inclusion. Our service users are gaining valuable transferable work skills. We need to invest more time in getting the cafe to be a success as this has become unprofitable. We are working hard on our advertising programme. Please visit our website www.lifecic.co.uk for further details.
