Collider Science CIC is a social enterprise that brings educators, scientists, artists and innovators together to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The idea for Collider Science came from the growing recognition that the world is changing so quickly most of our teenagers today will be doing jobs or pursuing careers that haven’t been invented yet- but the educational system still rooted in the Industrial Age and based on academic performance is not evolving quickly enough to prepare them well and unleash their talent. In the year to 30 April 2024 we have continued to promote the outputs from Science Question Time, building on the success of our events run to date that explore the role of creativity in science.
The company’s stakeholders are the schools and school communities involved, the scientists and artists participating in activities, and professional groups. All stakeholders have been involved in the development of programme themes and an informal evaluation process at the end of each activity ensures that learnings are applied in future projects, but apart from this no other consultation has been carried out.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
