Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 April 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    Accounting policies The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS102, The Financial Reporting Standards applicable in the UK as applied to small entities Turnover Turnover represents donations and other resources received or receivable from members of the church and the general public, and are recognised in the accounts when - the company becomes entitled to them - the directors are virtually certain they will receive them and - the monetary value of the resources can be measured with sufficient reliability. Expenditure Liabilities are recognised as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the company to pay out resources. Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred.

Company activities and impact

The company has continued to provide places of worship on Sundays for the benefit of the public as follows - London, average attendants 65 - Wembley, average attendants 30 - Birmingham, average attendants 35 - Luton, average attendants 20 - Coventry, average attendants 17 - Nottingham, average attendants 10 - Manchester Wigan, average attendants 8 - Milton Keynes, average attendants 10

Consultation with stakeholders

The main stakeholders are the congregation at any time and they have been consulted at the end of each service as to the way forward by means of a meeting after the service. The consultations centre around the venues used and suggestions are received about alternative venues in our search for a permanent place for worship. There are also consultations about religious and social education for the children in the congregation. Feedback is continuously being received on this matter as we design a programme for the youth
