In September 2023 Splatch produced a new outdoor arts festival 'To The Sea 2023'. Funded by The Vale of Glamorgan, the festival was an entirely free event which employed 32 (mostly Welsh) freelancers, and included collaboration between ACW funded companies and a number of community groups from South Wales. We estimate to have had over 5000 audience members across the course of the day with a number of workshop participants. The festival and surrounding activities have inspired creative collaborations between freelance artists and the local community. We have invited participants to explore their parks and the sea front through a shared imagination. The activities on the seafront explored the welsh language and our seaside heritage. As a result of the success in the 2023 festival we went on to secure funding for a summer of outreach and a second free festival in 2024 which spread across the town over 4 days.
No consultation with stakeholders
The total amount received from Elinor Kate Edwards = £1963 The Total amount Received by Esther Esther Vivian Fuge = £1657 Both directors were paid as freelance producers / performers for To The Sea Festival 2023. We have both invoiced for this payment as freelance creative practitioners and have included the payments as part of our individual tax returns for tax year 2023-24. The transactions can be seen clearly in the documents provided. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
