Company activities and impact

We have been establishing the organisation, creating a web site, setting up social media channels and forming our membership group. We have held a number of health-related talks with national and local experts and have attracted over 200 attendees. The talks have focussed on the prevention of dementia, the prevention of Alzheimer’s and how to improve sleep. We have also been planning a suite of future talks.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are residents of Huddersfield and Brighouse and the surrounding area. The directors of the company have lived in Huddersfield or Brighouse for many years and developed the business model for the company based on their experience of talking to other residents and their personal business awareness of local health needs. We ask everyone attending our talks to fill in a short questionnaire giving feedback about the talks and asking which other health-related topics they are interested in learning about.
