    Basis of preparation The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets. Presentation currency The accounts are presented in £ sterling.

Company activities and impact

This organisation, created to promote the Highlands of Scotland as a world leading tourism destination. Within the last year the organisation has achieved the following: Grown the ambassador network to over 200 Secured a further Highland Renewables Sponsor and continued sponsorship from all existing sponsors Launched Highland Food and Drink Platform with the support of Scotland Food and Drink Been acknowledged by Social Enterprise Scotland for Social Enterprise Leadership Held the World’s first Tourism and Renewables Conference Developed the Highland Brand The community is at the heart of our activities, to make the Highlands a better place to live, work, visit and study.

Consultation with stakeholders

In order to meet the needs of stakeholders, the organisation has held a series of ambassador events, community workshops and a conference in the Highlands with over 750 attendees. Further, we have developed a strong multi channel social media and digital marketing comms platform with over 15,000 followers. We have held several meetings in consultation with public sector bodies including NatureScot, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Cairngorms National Park Authority and Highland Council.
