Company activities and impact

During the year, the CIC has been able to establish a small base, which hopefully it can use to grow going forwards. A number of grant applications were made, of which some were successful, meaning the CIC has been able to run 2 programmes itself so far. The CIC benefits the community, because those from the local community who participate in a programme will :- 1 - Gain inclusive access to sport (running), overcoming current exclusions. 2 - Connect with the community to alleviate isolation and join in group activity, improving their emotional and mental wellbeing. 3 - Improve their emotional, mental and physical health leading to the adoption of new healthy living behaviours. 4 - Prevent increase risk of disease associated with sedentary behaviour 5 - Develop long lasting friendships for ongoing health benefits, and come together with their families and friends to exercise. 6 - Undergo personal development eg some participants will train to become fitness coaches, which is a pathway to employment.
