PROFESSIONAL ALGERIAN CONNECTIONS AND TALENT CIC (AKA PACT) is a professional network for Algerians based in the UK to help build meaningful connections and support their learning and professional growth. From October 2023 to October 2024: - the community has grown to 505 active members across multiple disciplines from tech, finance, consulting and many more backgrounds. - we have hosted over 10 in-person networking events and talks with 16 different speakers to inspire young professionals and encourage learning. - over 11,000 messages have been exchanged between members of the community to support each other with work, business and academia topics. - we have been able to have a strong female representation with over 47% of females in the community. a testament of our focus on diversity. - we facilitated many charitable causes such as supporting a family in need following a fire in Dagenham, raising over £2000. - 9 different small businesses presented their projects and PACT provided them with a platform to be more visible. - over 25 different volunteers have supported the running of the community to achieve these goals and objectives. - we have supported multiple small Algerian owned catering businesses for our events, helping them grow. - members of the community have shared and benefit from many job referrals to support each other in their career development and progression.
The stakeholders of PACT are the people who are part of the community, joining our events and network. We are here to deliver the best experience for them to connect with each other and achieve their goals. We have continuously shared feedback forms with the community to ensure that PACT delivers the right outcomes for them. After each event we have gotten a lot of recognition for the opportunity for community members to meet each other for the first time and helping to give them a sense of community and belonging in the UK. We have consistently gotten a lot of positive feedback and an NPS score of over 9.
