Company activities and impact

Intergenerational Opera has delivered 14 full 5 week projects throughout schools and care homes in east sussex. We continue to bring communities together through music making projects, enhancing wellbeing for all through singing and creative play. We work with primary school children up to the age of 11 delivering free of charge projects where they can experience live music, learn about opera as an artform and meet participants from an older generation in thier local community. our project enhances; confidence, communication skills and creativity combats loneliness and social isolation brings a love of music into the heart of the community works to provide music for under privilidge areas and schools with no music budget. works in care homes to provide access to music for those living with dementia provides opportunities for the wider community to hear about opera as an artform encourages children to go to the theatre to explore opera in a wider sense. our opera gala fundraising concerts provides high level proffessional employment for artists in the local community
