Over the past year the organisation has supported a number of ex service members with advice and guidance from transitional support upon leaving the military, to conducting Outreach with homeless veterans . Through the summer Changing Step (North East) C.I.C. restarted a project involving theraputic Agricultural and Horticultural Therapy via a gardening project in town. To date only a small number of veterans have attended the project getting everything ready for the new years planting. We continue to work with The Veterans Mental Health Network and Op Courage along with other local, regional and national organisations. We have also worked with a veteran for alcohol addiction and with the assistance of the NHS and Local Organisations the gentleman took part in a clinical dettox followed by 3 months rehabilitation with Tom Harrison House in Liverpool followed by Mental Health support for PTSD through Op Courage.
Consultation with the C.I.C.'s other Director Rupert Gladstone regarding the setting up of the gardening project. This was agreed and implemented through the summer. Also consultations regarding a number of veteran referrals into Op Courage which the Directors agreed on and implemented within the North East and East NHS Areas
