Basis of preparing the financial statements |
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and the Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities published in July 2014. |
Incoming resources |
Income is recognised as incoming resources when receivable, unless incapable of financial measurement. |
Resources expended |
Resources expended are recognised in the period in which they are incurred with liabilities being recognised where there is a current or constructive obligation to pay. |
Resources expended are allocated to a particular activity where costs relate directly to that activity and include attributable VAT when this cannot be recovered. |
Legal status of the charity and full accounts |
The charity is a company limited by guarantee and has no share capital. In the event of the charity being wound up, the liability in respect of the guarantee is limited to £1. |
The charity's full accounts which have been independently examined can be obtained from the Charity's registered office or downloaded from the Charity Commission website.The trustees have elected to file abbreviated accounts at Companies House as the full accounts can be obtained from the Charity Commission. |
