Naturewell-Natural Mental Health and Wellbeing Support We work with participants with a wide range of social and emotional needs to support mental and physical well-being. Those who beneft the sessions include people with mild or long-term mental health problems, life limiting illness, vulnerable groups, people socially isolated, and those who frequently attend either primary or secondary health care. We will continue to use the local accessible green spaces to deliver the sessions informed by the 5 Pathways to Nature Connectedness ,using Naturewell as the model. With Nature and Health facilitation a positive psychological approach is the best ft to working with people in nature in order to enhance their health & wellbeing. This is by resourcing and supporting them to develop their learning, skills, self-awareness, emotional awareness and personal potential through nature based activities and interventions that also encourage pro nature development. This can be through a range of interventions and we work with the 5 pathways to nature connectedness. This is an evidenced set of nature based interventions (pathways) that has emerged from the research in nature and wellbeing, biophilia and nature connectedness/ relatedness. (Contact, Beauty, Emotion, Meaning and Compassion) Participants are able to build confdence to access and continue with the nature based activities for ongoing personal health care. The pathways bring participants into relationship with nature and recognises that nature and health are not separate, and health is not just the absence of disease. Through the outdoor 6 week courses of Naturewell approach, we are supporting the Personal, Social and Ecological aspects of holistic health . Participants are facilitated in solo time in nature and group refection. We meet participants where they are at and through the group there is a peer support which highlights a commonality of experiences
We consult stakeholders through informal conversations, emails, regular monitoring and evaluation
