Tripat Empowerment is a community-based business set up to support individuals grow in confidence, build life skills and give opportunities to make a better life for them. At Tripat Empowerment we provide opportunities to everyone, no matter what age, religion, culture or gender they belong to. We have set up this community for individuals to make a better life for themselves. In the last financial year, we have been able to invest into a project funded by The National Lottery, which gave 10 women a career start in Beauty therapy. The course consisted of not only gaining an accredited course in beauty but we implemented mental health awareness workshops where these women were able to speak about their mental and physical domestic abuse through art classes and discussions. This in turn had a positive effect on their attitude and they finished the course successfully. To further support the learning, some women took on the opportunity to gain work experience within the beauty industry, which has now given them a stronger CV, demonstrating not only that they have completed a beauty course but have implemented their skills into a commercial salon setting. Some of these women have gone on to working from home, or even applying for jobs in client care and beauty.
