2023-2024
artPost21 exists to support creativity arts, technology and social justice.
It achieves this primarily through the following outputs:
1. Books: The research, development, authorship, commissioning, design, publication, and global distribution of books on overlooked queer, non-binary and women artists who otherwise would not have a platform to be seen in mainstream culture. Its flagship series is entitled imagine/otherwise and published in partnership with Sternberg Press. artPost21’s fundraises the cost of these publications and ensures the equitable payment of all parties in the supply chain.  It contributes its expertise to the development of all aspects of these publications, from conception through to associated public events. All these endeavors are subsidized by artPost21 (as they otherwise would not occur) and are realized and brokered in partnership with mainstream publishers and any income generated is re-invested into producing further publications. Publications produced in this fiscal year included the first monograph on Polish-British artist, Magda Stawarska and the first monograph on the late Indian artist, Lalitha Lajmi by Skye Arundhati-Thomas. Also published in this year was the first major publication to survey art in the Eastern Mediterranean in the 1960s. Helen Khal: Gallery One and Beirut in the 1960s published by Sternberg Press, edited by Carla Chammas, Rachel Dedman and Omar Kholeif. 2. Podcast: artPost21’s flagship podcast, Listening with Artists invites internationally renowned artists to dialogue around issues of art, life, and social justice through the practice of listening to music. All costs are borne by artPost21 and the podcasts are free to all and available on all major podcasting platforms from Apple Music to Spotify. Stories from within the podcast have been picked up by major news media including The Guardian and the Financial Times. artPost21 travels to the artists and or supports them with the technologies requires to guarantee the best podcasting experience, often securing artists, who generally do not offer public interviews. 
3. Exhibitions – artPost21 supports the intellectual and curatorial production of exhibitions via work with museums, collections and public archives. In this fiscal period, artPost21 contributed to the realization of the exhibition Lubaina Himid and Magda Stawarska: Plaited Time/Deep Water, the duo’s first exhibition in Asia. A major survey of more than 60 artworks. Majorn archival research was undertaken in New York, London, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai towards two major exhibitions, realised the following year: Drawing Time: Duets and the landmark retrospective, Peter Sedgley: Five Decades.
4. Public Events: also hosts public events attached to all its book launches, podcasts, and exhibitions, which are co-supported by artPost21 (i.e., travel and accommodation costs), which are always free and open to the public. Five such events took place in this fiscal period at Lisson Gallery, London with artist Cory Arcagel; during London Gallery Weekend at Ab Anbar Gallery, London with artist Nil Yalter; at The Third Line, Dubai with artist Anuar Khalifi; at Pace, New York with artist Trevor Paglen; at Deitch Projects with Jeffrey Deitch, and at Gagosian London with Hans Ulrich Obrist, as well as a book launch for Helen Khal monograph at Studio Rabih Kayrouz during Frieze London, and a launch for Magda Stawarska’s publication with Lubaina Himid at Toynbee Hall, London. 
5. Artwork Creation, commission, and 1-1 Mentorship 
Artists associated with artPost21 programmes are supported through 1-1 mentorship, production, material costs and other ancillary costs.

• Moving, Admin, Storage Costs
In Year 2, artPost21 subsidized office, storage and podcast studio came to an end. artPost21 eventually secured a home at SPACE, one of the world’s most recognized charity providers supporting small enterprises and makers like ours. Here, at 26 Sara Lane Studios, London, N1, artPost21 holds 2 hot desks, a publication inventory, its research archive, a bookmaking workstation, a small production suite, and library accessible by appointment. artPost21’s rent is accordingly subsidized by SPACE as meeting the social aims of its charitable purpose. It opens to the public twice a year via SPACE’s open studios or by appointment by contacting info@artpost21.com.

3. Company limited by guarantee
The company is limited by guarantee and has no share capital.
Every member of the company undertakes to contribute to the assets of the company, in the event of a winding up, such an amount as may be required not exceeding £1.
For the year ending 30 April 2024 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
