Darnall Education & Sports Academy (DESA) was founded out of a deep commitment to address the lack of accessible, high-quality education and sports opportunities for children in Darnall, a community in Sheffield. The vision for DESA was born from the recognition of a critical need many young people in Darnall faced barriers to engaging in both education and sports that could help them reach their full potential. DESA was established as a community-focused organisation with the mission to offer high-quality sports sessions and educational support in one place. The aim was to create an inclusive, supportive environment where children of all ages could come together to learn, play, and grow. Our membership continues to grow, currently we have nearly 1000 members.
