Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. Kitchen Equipment – 25% on reducing balance Plant and Machinery – 10% on cost Computer Equipment – 25% on cost.

    Intangible fixed assets amortisation policy

    Intangible assets Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses. Patents and licences are being amortised evenly over their estimated useful life of 10 years.

    Other accounting policies

    Stocks Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. Financial instruments Basic financial instruments are recognised at amortised cost, except for investments in non-convertible preference and non-puttable ordinary shares which are measured at fair value, with changes recognised in the statement of comprehensive income. Derivative financial instruments are initially recorded at cost and thereafter at fair value with changes recognised in the statement of comprehensive income. Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits The LLP operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the LLP’s pension scheme are charged to the Statement of Comprehensive Income in the period to which they relate.
