COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

LITTLE WING EVENTS COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 11967320 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 April 2024

Company activities and impact

In the last financial year, we have had to minimise external activity to focus on inward development and pivoting. We joined a cohort with Plan For Peace called Changemakers in Turbulent Times, which awarded us grant funding to develop ideas around working film our film community to advocate for social change in connection to film. As we are a volunteer led organisation primarily, our growth has slowed recently in response to macro-economic shifts in the UK funding landscape, and we are continuing to explore new ways to develop our remit in campaigning and social change, build resilience, and diversify our income streams to improve financial stability and plan for longevity.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our primary company stakeholders for this financial year have involved a social impact grant and training organisation, Plan for Peace, who we collaborated with to build our plan for the next 24 months. We have taken feedback from the course and consultations with the organisation leaders to further refine our proposition as we look to pivot in an effort to adapt to social and macroeconomic change in the industry. Our film community and the filmmakers we have supported play a role in steering the future direction of the organisation, and we seek feedback on how our outputs can adapt and meet the changing needs of the film and culture ecosystem in the UK. This is done through communications through our email and social media pathways, creating a responsive dialogue between the organisation and its stakeholders.
