The company’s activities benefit young people across England and Wales. Enabling young people to gain the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to identify, advocate and pursue their right and responsibilities as individuals and as members of group and communities locally and nationally. These activities have addressed and identified early signs of breakdown in relationships and looked at early intervention schemes to address these issues to foster stable relationships at home and within the community. Other impacts are listed below. Promoted positive youth counterculture in the community. Encouraged young people to contribute their untapped potential to the benefit of their community. Young people have learnt conflict resolution strategies that has helped them make sensible decision in life. Developed confidence mindset and resist peer-pressure to engage in a life of crime.
Our stakeholders are communities in a low-income minoritized area, mainly within the Afro-Caribbean community. Members of the community have been impacted by knife crime and gang activity, unemployment and have had family members who have been involved in the criminal justice system. We have carried out an event called “Wellbeing and the Pandemic” which brought together people from the local community together to discuss the effects of the pandemic on all aspects of their wellbeing. We also invited mental health professionals to join the panel to provide tips on maintaining positive wellbeing and to answer questions that attendees had.
