PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY |
The company owns the reversionary freehold title of Brookfield Court, Woodside Grange, London N12. The company's principal activities comprise the control, supervision and management of this interest. |
DIRECTOR |
QUALIFYING THIRD PARTY INDEMNITY PROVISIONS |
The company's Articles of Association provide, subject to the provisions of UK legislation, an indemnity for directors and officers of the company in respect of liabilities they may incur in defending certain proceedings against them. |
STATEMENT OF DIRECTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES |
The director is responsible for preparing the Report of the Director and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. |
Company law requires the director to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the director has elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law). Under company law the director must not approve the financial statements unless she is satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the director is required to: |
- | select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; |
- | make judgements and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent; |
- | prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business. |
The director is responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable her to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. She is also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. |
This report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. |

2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Service charge funds |
The company receives contributions towards property outgoings from the lessees to the service charge fund. However, as set out in Section 42 of The Landlord & Tenant Act 1987, the company holds these funds in trust for the lessees and therefore it is the opinion of the directors that these contributions along with the assets and liabilities of the service charge fund should not be reflected in the accounts. |
Depreciation |
No depreciation has been provided on the reversionary freehold interest as the asset is held at £Nil cost. |
3. | EMPLOYEES AND DIRECTORS |
The average number of employees during the year was NIL (2023 - NIL). |
4. | OPERATING PROFIT |
The directors received no remuneration in respect of their services to the company for the year. |
5. | TAXATION |
Service charge funds are held by the company in trust for the tenants and hence any income tax chargeable at the rate applicable to such trusts is not reflected in these accounts. |
6. | TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS |
The company owns the reversionary freehold interest in Brookfield Court, Woodside Grange, London N12 which was purchased for nil consideration. In the directors’ opinion the property does not qualify as an Investment Property as defined by the provisions of Section 16 of FRS102 as the property is held for administrative purposes and as no rentals are being earned. Therefore the property is held on the balance sheet at £Nil, being the cost to the company of the freehold interest. |
