This year, our activities have provided value to the community through creativity and collaboration. 1. Skill Development and Collaboration By launching our first collection, we engaged with community members to learn and share skills like screen printing, photography and building. This DIY approach fostered growth and created opportunities for skill-sharing, including craftspeople outside the skateboarding community. 2. Community Space We identified a neglected area of a basketball court and worked together to build a DIY skate spot. This initiative provided a group of skaters with an alternative to crowded areas for a period and opened up a dialogue regarding the shared use of public space. 3. Promoting Exploration BUSATRICK competition, funded by the Brighton & Hove Bus Fund, encouraged skaters to explore new locations and showcase their creativity by making a short edit for social media. Surplus bus tickets were made available for members of the community to benefit from. 4. Connecting Launching our first collection brought people together through food, music, and skateboarding. It also provided an opportunity for other creatives to get involved. 5. Contributions We donated 50% of profits from one of our t-shirt design sales to The Ben Raemers Foundation, supporting mental health in skateboarding. Additionally, we provided prizes to a skate jam in Beaminster.
