Company activities and impact

The vision of the Hong Kong Counsellors Hub C.I.C. (HKCH) is to empower individuals from the Hong Kong community and beyond to overcome challenges by fostering personal growth, strengthening resilience, and enhancing mental health and well-being. We unite and network Cantonese-speaking counsellors to deliver activities that support the mental health of our community. Achievements for Fiscal Year 2023-2024: - Expansion of the Hong Kong Counsellors Network The number of Hong Kong counsellors who have migrated to the UK and established clinical practices has increased significantly. Our network of counsellors has grown by 25%, with these professionals dedicated to providing Cantonese-speaking counselling services. This enhancement greatly improves access to mental health support within the community. - Support for Newly Migrated Counsellors HKCH conducted online sharing sessions and training tailored specifically for newly migrated counsellors from Hong Kong to the UK. Topics included UK professional practices, safeguarding, and suicide prevention strategies. - Community Engagement and Knowledge Sharing Through our networking platform, Cantonese-speaking counsellors exchanged experiences and insights gained from their community service. This collaborative environment fostered the sharing of valuable information and mutual support among counsellors. - Community Outreach Initiatives HKCH actively participated in community service initiatives, supported by local authorities. In collaboration with the Greater London Authority, we developed various activities focused on well-being enhancement and social integration for BN(O) Hong Kongers. Over 336 Hong Kongers benefited from these initiatives.

Consultation with stakeholders

To effectively consult stakeholders, it's essential to employ a multi-faceted approach that ensures comprehensive feedback and engagement. First, reaching out to direct service recipients through post-activity evaluations and surveys can provide valuable insights into their experiences and needs. Additionally, holding regular roundtable meetings with counsellor members fosters open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving. Maintaining constant communication with local authorities and organizations is crucial, as it allows for the collection of feedback and alignment with community goals. Lastly, conducting regular directors' meetings ensures that leadership remains informed about community needs and development directions, facilitating strategic planning and responsive actions. Together, these strategies create a robust framework for stakeholder consultation and engagement.
