Company activities and impact

Emmas Emporium CIC is a non profit organisation which operates from our community hub. the shop offer support to our local residents local to us and the city who are struggling financially. going through life changing circumstances and assisting those fleeing dire situations i.e domestic violence. we work closely with local social services to provide items such as personal hygiene products and all household items/furniture.which are donated to the cic and then gifted on to the person in need. the shop also trades in pre loved items and new items that have been donated to meet our mandatory over heads such as rent and utilities to ensure the premises stays open. the shop is located in a socio-economically deprived area, and since the shop has opened it has helped to regenerate the area, make the residents feel safer and bring a disjointed community together. especially during covid. the shop also houses a food bank that is a accessible to anyone who needs it without any kind of referral funded by ourselves. we work on a trust based policy as we understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. we have received great feedback from the community as to what the shop means to them. the local community also very much rely on the shop and volunteers for emotional/wellbeing support. we help people from all backgrounds and cultures and we pride ourselves on helping anyone that needs it. even when we face language barriers. we support people within the community who suffer with terminal illnesses. Full time carers or those that suffer with chronic illnesses or terminal illness.
