Company activities and impact

The company has launched through its global impact programme the WeRepresent Toolkit. Employing both local artists from Tower Hamlets and artists living in conflict-affected regions, we created free digital toolkits for school children and their guardians/teachers. We Represent Art Toolkits feature educational art guides for students and educators to develop collaborative projects which foster social cohesion through storytelling, thus transforming the way today's youth learn compassion and understanding around global issues, race, and social inequalities. Each art toolkit is unique in artistic teaching, method, and theme. From street art stencils taught by an artist from Afghanistan based on finding common ground, to charming illustrations based on the work of an Iraqi artist examining at the concept of belonging students and their communities will use our kits to learn, question, and create projects that inspire change. We have worked with three funders to commission two toolkits and piloted them with 50 children across the country.

Consultation with stakeholders

There has been consultation with artists, schools, teachers, and councils across Tower Hamlets, the City of London, and Chelsea. We have also spoken to artists internationally and organisations who are in similar educational spaces such as JR's Inside Out Project. We have conducted co-design workshops and one-on-one calls with our stakeholders to explore needs and requirements to continually improve our offering and services as well as delivery mechanisms.
