Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for the sale of goods and provision ofservices in the ordinary course of the company's activities. Turnover is shown net of sales/value added tax, returns,rebates and discounts.The company recognises revenue when:The amount of revenue can be reliably measured;it is probable that future economic benefits will flow to the entity;and specific criteria have been met for each of the company's activities.

    Depreciation is charged so as to write off the cost of assets, other than land and properties under construction overtheir estimated useful lives, as follows:Office equipment: 33% straight line basis

Company activities and impact

ME Sports in the Community are providing the very best quality sports coaching and activity based education andinstruction to schools, pre-schools, collegegs, clubs, councils, nuseries, community groups and independentorganisations on a day-to-day basis as well as through our ME Education brand, a host of education based projectsfor all industries ineluding apprenticeship, NVQ, traineeship, BTEC, short courses, adult classes, and CPD on top ofboth mental health and health & well-being themed community serminars. In Schools, we are consistently deliveringan excellent standard of PE sessions as part of PPA cover as well as breakfast clubs, lunchtime clubs andafter-school activities in a wide range of sports from football and rugby right through to gymnastics and dance, arts& crafts, pSHF, outdoor pursuits and forest schooling. Cycling Development is a recent addition to our productservices, where cycling support can be prodivded in schools or the community by our team of expert instructors inthe form of balance bike sessions, learn to ride programmes, basic eycling skills and bike maintenance workshops.We also provide a number of pre-school and nursery settings with FUNdamental sports skills activities, CycleBugs, Mini Movers and our SoccerTots sessions are particularly popular!
