1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover is based on rent and service charges receivable during the year.

Tangible fixed assets
Fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation

Depreciation is provided so as to write off the cost of fixed assets less their estimated residual value over their anticipated useful lives:-

Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.

The Company's investment properties were valued by the Directors at 31 May 2024 based on the Directors' understanding of property market conditions and the specific properties concerned. If the properties were not included at valuation, this would be included under the historical cost convention at the original cost of £1,761,196.
