Company activities and impact

In the financial year 01/06/23 to 31/05/24, Secret Angels CIC has made a significant impact on the local community by supporting vulnerable individuals and families facing hardship. Key activities and their benefits include: 1 Food Bank Services: Distributed food parcels to over 1374 families feeding 4977 households, helping to alleviate food insecurity for those in crisis. Each recipient received essential supplies tailored to their needs, enabling them to focus on other priorities such as employment and housing stability. 2 Winter Wellbeing Initiatives: Provided warm clothing and hygiene products to vulnerable residents during the winter months, ensuring they stayed warm and safe in the face of rising energy costs. 3 Community Engagement Projects: Hosted events such as Java Joy tea and coffee afternoons and digital inclusion workshops. These activities helped reduce social isolation and supported community members in building confidence and developing life skills. 4 Collaboration with Organisations: Partnered with Yorkshire Building Society and businesses, such as ASDA, Coop and Eurofins, to collect donations and raise awareness about Secret Angels' mission, fostering a stronger sense of community. Overall, these activities addressed critical needs in the community, provided essential resources, and created opportunities for individuals to connect and thrive.

Consultation with stakeholders

Throughout the financial year, Secret Angels CIC has actively consulted stakeholders to ensure its services align with the needs of the community. This feedback directly influenced the scheduling of additional projects, such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning and community fundraising events. 3 Local Organisations and Partners: Engaged with partners such as City of Wolverhampton Council, Wolverhampton Homes, local schools, and faith-based organisations to identify emerging challenges in the community, such as fuel poverty and digital exclusion, and collaborated on solutions. 4 Funding Bodies and Donors: Consulted with supporters like Eurofins and Asda to align funding efforts with community priorities, such as addressing food poverty and providing hygiene products for the most disadvantaged.
