Company activities and impact

W4W is committed to representing its community which is straight, queer, trans, binary non-binary, disabled, young, older and global majority voices. We strive to break down any perceived hierarchies in the world of literature and apparent elitism in poetry and spoken-word. During the last year the company has: provided technical leadership for the Welshpool Poetry Festival in order to ensure accessibility for disabled performers and audience provided platforms for Welsh writers to international audiences in association with the Dylan Thomas Summer school co-curated a stage at the Landed festival which is focussed on peer mentoring provided technical advice and support for Lapidus International the words for wellbeing organisation delivered the Coracle Europe Fringe festival implemented the "ripples project with Swedish partner Kultivera provided technical hybrid support for the St Ystyffans Trees of Life Festival and the Abergavenny Writing festival continued to deliver our regular fortnightly hybrid spoken-word open-mic events to a local and global community, we endeavour to to deliver a programme of performers that reflects the diversity of our community

Consultation with stakeholders

We meet on a regular basis with our stakeholders at our fortnightly community events. These are safe spaces where we welcome feedback and suggestions a swell as encouraging communication in through digital methods and our social media channels. Other consultations have taken place throughout the year with organisational partners including Lapidus International Kultivera Cwrw Community Arts Venue University of Wales Greenspace Gallery Llansteffan Writers Abergavenny writing Festival Landed Festival Ferryside Social Enterprise Group Ferryside Primary School and with artssts with whom we have collaborated including Menna Elfyn Hester Kaplan Pamela Petro Michael Stein Rufus Mufasa Alex Wharton Jeremy Dixon Hanan Issa Jasmine Donahaye Georgia Fearn Ifor ap Glyn Mike Jenkins ChristerBoberg Kim Elfving Erk Nordstrom Colm Kiernan Magnus Grehn Xavier Panades I Blas Simoen Mansell-Broome Jonas Svensson Stephen Treharne Pete Bearder Gemma June Howell Bean Sawyer Kathy iles Tom Bullough
