CORSTON COMMUNITY ORCHARD CIC

Company Number: 13465339 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 June 2024

Company activities and impact

Corston Community Orchard is open to the public and many people from the community use it regularly to walk their dogs, enjoy the space and look for wildlife. We hold regular volunteering sessions that are well attended, plus we support young people to complete their Duke of Edinburgh awards through volunteering and activities on the orchard. We also hold events on the orchard that are open to all.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders are local residents and other interested parties. The committee holds several meetings throughout the year to guide ongoing management of the orchard. We gather feedback informally from orchard volunteers and users and respond to any suggestions. We have a WhatsApp group where local people interested in volunteering and taking part in events can hear the latest news and make suggestions. We collaborate with other groups in the local area to e.g. apply for grant money and hold joint events.
