Breathing in Peace CIC has continued to provide breathwork training in the form of workshops, courses and individual 1:1 sessions in this reporting period. Breathwork is a unique modality that has a positive impact on wellbeing. As well as benefits to physical health, regular practise can help reduce the symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD and improve general mental health. Our paid for services are open to all which enables us to provide the same services to veterans and members of the military community free of charge. During this reporting period we returned to providing residential courses which we had put on hold in the previous reporting period and were able to use the additional income to increase our online services to veterans by 27%. These services were provided by both ourselves and breathwork certified practitioner volunteers and included online workshop places online consultation and sessions online information and training sessions Online group support sessions We continued to run beginners and intermediate online training courses delivered to small groups of up to 6 clients, including follow on sessions which help to develop a sense of community and connection. We have developed the more in depth training on how to use breathwork as an alternative method to help manage the symptoms of stress, anxiety and PTSD into a stand alone course able to be delivered in 3 x 60 mins blocks and have rolled this out to other veteran support groups. We continued to provide 1:1 in person sessions where this was requested or where individual circumstances meant this was the most appropriate method of practice. Our connections with other Community Interest Companies supporting the military community has grown and we have provided workshop and residential course places to military depandants nominated by them and training for their staff. We have seen a marked uptake in services from family members of the serving military community and have developed a weekend program specifically for this demographic.
