Company activities and impact

Fashion Fiesta CIC is a social enterprise that empowers emerging fashion designers, models, makeup artists, and creatives by providing them with a platform to showcase their talents. Through a combination of events, mentorship, and business development support, we help individuals gain industry experience, build confidence, and connect with opportunities that support their career progression. During the financial year 2023/24, Fashion Fiesta has benefited the community in the following ways: - Providing opportunities for emerging talent – We organised the annual Fashion Fiesta Show, offering aspiring designers, models, and stylists a chance to gain real-world experience, build portfolios, and present their work to industry professionals and the public. - Supporting education and employability – In partnership with Shipley College and Leeds Beckett University, we provided work-based learning experiences for students pursuing fashion and marketing-related qualifications, enhancing their skills and employability. - Promoting inclusivity and confidence-building – We championed diversity and representation within the fashion industry, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds, including those with disabilities and underrepresented groups, had a platform to participate and thrive. - Encouraging sustainable fashion – Through our events and workshops, we promoted sustainable fashion practices, including ethical sourcing, upcycling, and reducing textile waste. - Providing mentorship and business support – We delivered mentorship programmes and business workshops for young creatives, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to establish their own fashion businesses or secure employment within the industry. - Creating community engagement and networking opportunities – Our events brought together fashion enthusiasts, local businesses, and industry professionals, fostering a supportive creative community that encourages collaboration and growth. Through these activities, Fashion Fiesta CIC continues to make a meaningful impact on the creative sector, inspiring and supporting individuals to succeed in fashion while promoting sustainability, inclusivity, and business innovation.

Consultation with stakeholders

Fashion Fiesta CIC’s stakeholders include: - Emerging fashion designers, models, makeup artists, and stylists who seek opportunities to showcase their work and develop their careers. - Students and educators from institutions such as Shipley College and Leeds Beckett University, who participate in work-based learning experiences. - Industry professionals, mentors, and business leaders who support our initiatives through coaching, judging panels, and networking opportunities. - Local communities and businesses that engage with our events and benefit from increased footfall, collaboration, and brand exposure. - Sponsors and funding partners who contribute to the sustainability and growth of our initiatives.
