Company activities and impact

Nantporth CIC operates Bangor City Stadium, a community hub that provides a space for sporting, corporate, and community activities. Over the past financial year, the stadium has significantly benefited the local community in the following ways: Sports & Health Development: Provided facilities for local football teams, grassroots training, and sports leagues, encouraging physical activity and youth engagement in sports. Community Events: Hosted a range of charity matches, fundraisers, workshops, and public events, fostering inclusivity and supporting local causes. Business & Networking Opportunities: Offered venue rental services for corporate events, networking sessions, and business gatherings, supporting local businesses. Youth & Education: Launched skills-development workshops and training programmes in sports management and hospitality to provide employment opportunities. Social Inclusion: Ensured accessibility for all community members, including those with disabilities, and created safe spaces for social and recreational activities. Economic Impact: Provided employment opportunities to local staff and engaged with local suppliers for food, beverages, and event services. Nantporth CIC’s mission is to enhance community engagement, promote physical and mental well-being, and maintain financial sustainability while reinvesting in local projects

The key stakeholders of Nantporth CIC include: Local sports teams & grassroots football clubs Residents & businesses in Bangor and surrounding areas Visitors attending events at the stadium Local schools, charities, and community organisations Sponsors and event partners Consultation & Engagement: Regular community meetings and surveys have been conducted to gather feedback from local residents, businesses, and sports clubs. Attendees of sports and community events are encouraged to share feedback online forms. Nantporth CIC maintains an open dialogue with stakeholders through its website, social media platforms, and in-person interactions. Input from sponsors and business partners has shaped corporate event offerings, improving engagement opportunities for local enterprises. Actions Taken in Response to Stakeholder Feedback: Expanded sports training programmes based on demand from youth teams and coaches. Introduced more affordable pitch hire rates to make facilities more accessible to smaller community teams. Increased event variety, including family fun days, music events, and mental health awareness initiatives. Improved accessibility by enhancing facilities for individuals with disabilities.
