Company activities and impact

Mindsum is technology led social enterprise providing mental health support and services for children, young people, and their parents/ carers. We helped local communities through online peer support, counselling, information, and signpost services. During the financial year 2021-2022, Mindsum has benefitted the users in following ways: Our team of Peer Support Workers helped 1129 young people/ families. We provided counselling phone/ Zoom sessions to the help young people and their parents/ carers to significantly improve their mental wellbeing and navigate through their recovery journey. Our resources and AI-bot on our website - www.mindsum.org - helped over 89,600 young people/ families to get useful information, signpost resources and self-help advice. Conducted webinars to spread awareness about the mental health challenges and how to get the right help. Partnered with a leading special needs school in Manchester. Sent out the information brochures/ leaflets to the parents of pupils and teaching staff.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are: Young people and their parents/ carers with mental health challenges. Schools. Other charities. Our Peer Support Workers (paid and volunteer). Therapists We conduct regular surveys from the clients we serve to see how we can improve the support that we offer. One of the SEN School headteacher is on our advisory board and she gives useful advice on how we can reach out/ support more young students struggling with mental health challenges. We have also partnered with charities such as rethink.org and offer their clients a real time support. These charities share their learning with us to help us improve the delivery of our services. Finally, we organise fortnightly ‘reflective sessions’ with our Peer Support Workers and get their input to make any changes in our content, resources, and support.
