During this financial year, Equalinks CIC has continued to drive meaningful impact within communities through a range of initiatives aimed at empowering young people and grassroots organisations. Our activities have included: Youth Engagement: Delivering 24-hour youth camps and National Citizen Service (NCS) programmes, providing young people with opportunities to develop skills, confidence, and leadership. Training & Development: Running adult training sessions to equip individuals with the tools needed to support and mentor young people effectively. Resource Creation: Producing programme enhancement materials to improve the quality and effectiveness of youth initiatives across the sector. Sector Support & Collaboration: Establishing an online network to connect youth sector organisations, fostering collaboration, and sharing best practices. Funding Access: Acting as a mechanism for national organisations to distribute funding to grassroots organisations that might otherwise be overlooked, ensuring more equitable access to resources. Through these activities, Equalinks CIC has strengthened community engagement, increased opportunities for young people, and supported the sustainability of grassroots youth organisations, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and equitable youth sector.
Throughout the financial year, Equalinks CIC has actively engaged with stakeholders to ensure our work aligns with the needs of youth organisations and the communities they serve. Our consultation process has included: Digital Engagement: We have utilised various online platforms to connect with youth organisations, facilitating discussions, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration across the sector. In-Person Sessions: We have hosted face-to-face consultations, bringing together youth organisations, practitioners, and community leaders to discuss challenges, share insights, and explore solutions. Youth-Led Input: We have engaged directly with young people through multiple youth-focused initiatives, gathering their perspectives on existing provisions, identifying gaps, and shaping our approach to better support their needs. Ongoing Needs Assessment: Through these consultations, we have continuously assessed the landscape of youth services, identifying what is missing and where additional support is required. By maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders, Equalinks CIC ensures that our programmes and initiatives remain responsive, impactful, and aligned with the evolving needs of youth organisations and the communities they serve.
