  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulative depreciation and any accumulative impairment losses. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, at rates calculated to write off the cost, less estimated residual value, of each asset evenly over its expected useful life.

Company activities and impact

Inspiring Minds Group CIC has focused on the following activities this year. Pilot of the Financial Prosperity Project – Financial training for underprivileged 16-18 year olds Inspiring Women Wirral, Monthly networking events and workshops Book collaboration – Limitless, Inspiring Women redefining success Book collaboration - Embracing the Extraordinary, the reality of parenting Neurodivergent children. The impact on the community is that the CIC support's people around money and entrepreneurship, focusing on the topics which are not covered in conventional education.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are all inspiring Women Wirral members, students within the Liverpool City region and staff of the City of Liverpool College, female entrepreneurs and parents of neurodivergent children. Each different stakeholder has been consulted prior to engagement with the CIC to identify their needs, how the CIC can full fill this and following working together a questionnaire of their feedback, including positive outcomes, suggestions for improvements and any other areas of feedback they wish to include.
