Company activities and impact

in our first year, following our incorporation in June 2023, we have made strides in establishing ourselves as an organisation. We very quickly raised our first £100 from our local community through a GoFundMe page, reflecting their excitement and support of our work. In August 2023 we launched our social media presence, began to build strong professional relationships with other local organisations, exploring avenues for partnership work going forward. During the following months we launched our website as a hub of information and resources for the local trans community, authored our lived-experience led Trans Awareness Training, and worked towards expanding local knowledge of our organisation. In February 2024 we appointed a third Director, and local knowledge of our organisation meant that we were increasingly approached for advice by professionals supporting trans clients. After the completion of our training package, we delivered it to a pilot cohort in March 2024, who provided feedback on the content and delivery, with the view of us later seeking for this training to be CPD accredited and offered to other local organisations. In April 2024 we received our first grant of £20,000 from the Young Gamechangers Fund, which is specifically designed to support initiatives led by and for young people. This has been a pivotal moment in our development as an organisation, and allowed us to begin the process of planning to recruit and run a paid Youth Advisory Board to direct our organisation going forward. As of June 2024, we were incredibly well placed to be looking forward to what the next year of Transilience looks like, and the difference we can begin to make for our local trans community.
