Between 1st June 2023 and 31st May 2024, I have continued to actively support The Lark Network in their monthly networking groups. These groups support female (and those that identify as female) entrepreneurs in our community who are in the start-up stages of their businesses. In addition to the monthly networking groups, we were awarded a small amount of funding to create ‘Lark Lunch Break’, a monthly opportunity for women entrepreneurs to have lunch together. As most women running their own business or social enterprise work from home, in isolation or on a very low budget, the Lark Lunch Break continues the group’s ethos of community within business. We have also provided skill workshops, including Canva and Creative Writing to support any business specific skill gaps that women may feel that they need additional support with or just confidence building. I have continued my work with Pamodzi Creatives CIC and have continued to project manage the projects that seek to inspire the young people in Portsmouth. The #WhoInspiresYou funding rolled over into the year ‘24 and the final phase of that was project managing the creation of a children’s book in collaboration with a local Organisation called Unloc. Unloc offers opportunities to young people to broaden their horizons. skills/business/entrepreneur-ness and their potential to be change makers. Alongside selected young women, we facilitated and supported the book researching and writing process in it’s entirety with a view to gifting the completed books to Primary schools to encourage and promote the stories of inspirational women from Portsmouth. In addition to this, I supported the preparation and delivery of the Inspirational Women of Portsmouth Awards 2024 event held in March 2024. Additionally, I have been Group Facilitator for Creatful CIC, specifically, Creatful Buckland. Creatful was awarded funding to continue an existing group in Portsmouth that provides a safe space of wellbeing, mindfulness and community via skill-accessable craft activities. The group is free-of-charge, no requirement to book-on and is held at the same time and venue each week. The group provides support to a wide spectrum of vulnerable women. Attendees of the group have challenges that include, depression, anxiety, mental health issues, physical health challenges and grief to name a few. Whilst the group is not designed to provide any type of certified therapy, the craft activities are therapeutic by nature. We arrange a different Art Facilitator each week and the women can participate as much or as little as they want or are able to.

The director received £6,845 as remuneration during the period 1st June 2023 to 31st May 2024.
