Balance sheet statements

Company activities and impact

The company supports schools with quality science provision through a scheme of work, CPD, networking and signposting. During the companies trading the company has supported the community in the following ways: -Disadvantaged pupils: the company has provided holiday clubs for hundreds of disadvantaged pupils providing them with exciting science activities, forest schools, nutritional food and exercise. This supports low income families with essential childcare, respite whilst providing nutritional food and educational experiences in a fun and interactive way. With the profits from the company we have purchased Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to support children's social and science capital and give them experiences that they may not have had otherwise. We have also bought a 3D printer so that children are able to take products away from camp and share with their families. -We have supported science subject leaders with networking sessions to support them delivering science in their schools. Leaders are sharing good practice and we are signposting to high quality resources. -Our scheme of work has benefitted hundreds of schools with high quality science teaching, whilst supporting teachers workload and subject knowledge. We also won a Royal Society of Chemistry award for the contribution we have made to improve quality of education in this area.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are children from surrounding schools, their parents, teachers, subject leaders and Headteachers. The directors have supported science in the community for over 15 years and have developed the business model based on stakeholders experiences and local and national changes in education. We regularly gain feedback through annual questionnaires, through networking sessions and our annual conference. We also gain feedback from all CPD sessions. We gain feedback from pupils at the camp and their parents to ensure we are offering what the company needs. We now support just over 700 schools and are part of over 8 different science organisations to bring together best practice to ensure our products are always up to date and meet client expectations.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £10,515 There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed. We do not take any bonuses this is just hours worked in terms of wages.
