Company activities and impact

Cultural Fashion Arts has successfully delivered a range of educational and celebratory cultural events, fostering community cohesion, representation, and cultural awareness. We collaborated with Cultural Style Week and Capital & Regional to produce the Cultural Style Week London Expo, which welcomed over 2,000 attendees across the day. The event featured an exciting lineup of cultural fashion shows, performances, shopping experiences, and live entertainment. As part of this initiative, we worked closely with various community groups to help them present their cultural heritage through performances and storytelling, including the My Cultural Style children's show. We partnered with Mall Wood Green to curate an exhibition celebrating local diversity, which was officially opened by the Mayor of Haringey. This initiative highlighted the cultural contributions of the local community, promoting inclusivity within the borough. In Trafalgar Square, we worked with Central Asian communities to present a cultural showcase at the Mayor of London's 2024 Eid celebrations. This event not only highlighted the rich traditions of Central Asia but also provided an opportunity for non-Muslim attendees to participate, learn, and engage with the celebrations. Additionally, we collaborated with Welcoming Cultures events in Sheffield and Cultural Style Week to produce a cultural fashion show and community exhibition at Meadowhall Shopping Centre, further expanding the reach of our cultural engagement initiatives. As part of our commitment to education and cultural awareness, our documentary, The Story Behind My Caribbean Cultural Style, was screened at youth groups during Black History Month, offering young people an opportunity to learn about and engage with Caribbean cultural heritage. Through these strategic partnerships and initiatives, we have successfully: a Promoted cross-cultural understanding and education. b Created opportunities for communities to showcase their cultural heritage. c Fostered inter-community relations through inclusive events. d Provided economic and professional opportunities for designers, artists, and performers.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our main stakeholders include: a Cultural Leads b Trustees c Event partners d Event attendees / local communities Although we have not conducted formal stakeholder consultations, we have provided meaningful engagement opportunities through our events. Additionally, we have worked directly with Cultural Leads to co-develop various activities, ensuring that their voices and cultural perspectives are at the heart of our programming. Our approach has ensured that our work remains community-led, representative, and impact-driven, allowing us to effectively celebrate diversity while fostering education and inclusion.
