EASY LISTENING RECORDS CIC

Directors' report period ended 30 October 2024

The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 30 October 2024

Principal activities of the company

The company’s activities provides benefit to artists that are marginalised through geography, neurodiversity, socioeconomics, artistic transgression or any thing else which for one reason or another has created barriers for that artist(s) to work within the traditional music industry. The company was set up on the 12th of June 2023, however no activity took place until Jan 2024. Following this we supported Ultimate Thunder, a band comprising of people with learning disabilities to release and perform their second album. Without our support the band would have ceased to exist early in 2024 due to previous support being cut by the charity which had supported them for many years and there would have been no outlet for the members creative talents. The band has appeared on BBC Breakfast, ITN News, and Channel 4, and were featured in articles by the NME, Guardian, and the Big Issue. They also performed live at Kendal Calling, Shambala, and supported Yard Act at Millennium Square. This has inspired and spurred on many thousands of other people with learning disabilities, showing that with the right support people with a learning disability are able to create art and perform at a world class level.
