A prior year adjustment has been recognised to account for an expense that had been allocated to the Directors Loan Account that related to a fellow group company. This adjustment has increased the amount owed from group companies and reduced the amount payable by the Director by £48,000.
The company is jointly and severally liable in respect of the group's bank loan facilities, which amounted to £13,673,544 at 31st March 2024 (2023 - £12,427,559). A debenture is secured over group assets.
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. The pension cost charge represents
contributions payable by the company to the fund and amounted to £270 (2023 - £1,424). Contributions totalling £Nil (2023 - £Nil) were payable to the fund at the balance sheet date and are included in creditors.
The parent company is H & S Simmons Limited, by virtue of its 100% shareholding.
The ultimate controlling joint parties are Mr and Mrs Simmons by virtue of their 100% shareholdings in H & S Simmons Limited.
