Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
The Directors have assessed the company’s ability to continue as a going concern in line with the requirements of applicable accounting standards and company law.
Following a strategic review, the Trustees have determined that Ignite Movement Ltd will cease operations and formally close during the financial year ending 31st July 2025. As a result, the financial statements for the year ending 31st July 2024 represent the last full year of activity, with the following year (ending 31st July 2025) focused on an orderly wind-down of operations, including the fulfillment of outstanding commitments, final reporting obligations, and legal closure of the company.
Given this decision, the financial statements for the year ending 31st July 2024 have not been prepared on a going concern basis. Instead, they reflect the planned cessation of operations, ensuring compliance with relevant financial reporting requirements. The Trustees confirm that the charity remains solvent and has sufficient resources to meet all obligations throughout the closure process.
The Trustees will continue to oversee the responsible distribution of any remaining funds and assets in accordance with the charity’s governing documents and legal obligations.
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors.
