The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 30 June 2024

Principal activities of the company

The company is an education and training provider. Since 2015, the company has operated a Community Bike Shop and Cafe called The Bike Works in the town of Skelmersdale, Lancs. The Bike Works was founded to combat one of main issues in the town of transport poverty. Working with different Government agencies, used bikes are recycled from donations and landfill sites. These are then refurbished and are donated to the local population to gain access to work or education. The Bike Works also provides training and education to local schools, colleges and the unemployed. The Bike works has a cafe which is used as a community hub for meetings and training events. It is currently, registered as a local Government Warm Space. The Bike Works has a commitment to helping people with disabilities into the workforce. It currently has one member of its own workforce with a learning disability.
