Bulldogs Basketball CIC are basketball club based in Barnet, North London. The club consists of three components being the junior club, senior club and community programme. Our junior and senior teams competed in the National Basketball League competitions and our community programme consisted of our holiday camps and our weekly sessions. Our senior teams, junior teams, and community programs, including holiday camps, have had a profound impact on the wider community by creating inclusive opportunities for physical activity, personal growth, and social engagement. Through the senior teams, local players serve as role models, inspiring younger athletes and encouraging a culture of dedication and resilience. Our junior teams provide a structured environment for children and teenagers to develop basketball skills, build confidence, and foster friendships across diverse backgrounds. Our holiday camps, ran in conjunction with Young Barnet Foundation and Barnet Council, offer accessible, safe, and enjoyable spaces for young people to stay active and connect. These initiatives promote healthy lifestyles, help deter antisocial behaviour by engaging youth in positive activities and strengthen community bonds by bringing people together through a shared love of sport.
The stakeholders of Bulldogs Basketball CIC include players and their families, coaches, volunteers, local schools, community members, partner organisations, sponsors, and local authorities. Each stakeholder group plays a unique role in supporting the club's mission to promote basketball and community engagement in Barnet. Bulldogs Basketball CIC is committed to maintaining an open dialogue with its stakeholders and continuously enhancing its programs based on valuable feedback. We have actively sought input from: Our members: We regularly consult our members across all age groups to understand how we can improve our basketball provision. Specifically, feedback from holiday camp participants is gathered weekly as part of a case study requirement under Barnet Council’s BACE programme, allowing us to monitor and adapt our offerings in real time. Parents/Guardians: Through both written and verbal consultations, we gather insights from parents and guardians on potential program improvements. In response to this feedback, we have implemented several changes, including offering early drop-off and late pick-up options at camps, as well as introducing additional sessions tailored exclusively for girls. Local Council: Our engagement with the local council focuses on refining our holiday camp offerings and addressing administrative improvements identified during inspections. These conversations help us align with council standards and enhance the quality of our services. Senior Members: Discussions with senior team members provide us with insights on how to enhance the experience for our senior athletes and coaching staff. Based on their input, we plan to relocate practice sessions to Copthall Leisure Centre in the coming season, offering better facilities and accessibility. Local Business Sponsors: We maintain ongoing discussions with our local partner organizations and sponsors to explore synergies and partnership opportunities. This collaboration enables us to strengthen our support network, expand community impact, and develop mutually beneficial initiatives. These continuous engagements with stakeholders ensure that our programs evolve in line with the needs of our community and partners, enabling Bulldogs Basketball CIC to fulfil its mission more effectively.
