Additional information

ProActive CIC offers professional sports coaching, education and fun holiday clubs to Plymouth schools and residents. ProActive has been award grants to help deliver its holiday clubs to those most in need across the city. ProActive has a long-standing relat with the Home Educated community and continues to deliver physical education lessons. In addition to this ProActive have been delivering after school clubs within schools.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases: Plant & Machinery 25% reducing balance Computer Equipment 33% straight line

Company activities and impact

ProActive has benefitted over 250 children directly with free holiday club provision with the additional benefit of a free heathy meal. Within the holiday clubs we have provided a number of exciting and engaging activities and experiences, some of which are normally out of reach for those attending. ProActive has had a huge impact on the physical and mental development of those children attending the Home Education physical education lessons. Increased knowledge of anatomy as well as physical skill development. Consultation with stakeholders including, parents, schools and the Council’s Sports Unit have all provided essential feedback and and we have modified our service to ensure we are able to meet all demands put upon us.
