2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |
Turnover, relating to management consultancy services, is recognised to the period in which the performance obligations are satisfied, with accrued and deferred income being recognised where appropriate. |
Delivery of service |
Turnover in respect of fees for the delivery of workshops and programmes is recognised upon completion of contracted performance obligations. |
Membership fees |
Turnover in the respect of memberships for consultancy services is recognised on a straight line basis over the membership period. |
Tangible fixed assets |

Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost or valuation, net of depreciation and any impairment losses. |
Taxation |
Taxation for the year comprises current tax. Tax is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits |
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate. |
Financial instruments |
Debtors and creditors with no stated interest rate and receivable or payments within one year are recorded at transaction price. Any losses arising from impairment are recognised in the profit and loss account in other administrative expenses. |

Going concern |
The director has confirmed she will continue to support the company so it is able to fulfil its obligations as they fall due. Therefore, the director believes that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for a period of at least 12 months from the date of the approval of these financial statements. The director has concluded that the going concern basis of preparation of these financial statements remains appropriate. |
