THE COMPANY RUNS THE MINDS UNITED HQ IN EARLS COURT IN THE HEART OF THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON & CHELSEA BETWEEN 11-3PM MONDAY - THURSDAY WHERE WE OFFER A VARIETY OF FREE COMMUNITY SERVICES AT OUR CLUBHOUSE. WE OFFER AMERICAN POOL, TABLE TENNIS, FREE DRINKS, BOARD GAMES, CONSOLES, LAPTOPS, WI-FI, ART, EDUCATION COURSES AND A DEVELOPMENT HUB. IN NORTH KENSINGTON THE COMPANY RUNS A COMMUNITY SPORTS PROGRAMME INCLUDING TENNIS, CRICKET, FOOTBALL, AND FUTSAL AT WESTWAY SPORTS CENTRE WITH SPECIFIC SESSIONS FOR MEN, WOMEN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND DISABILITIES. WE RUN TWO TOURNAMENTS CALLED THE MINDS UNITED INCLUSION CUP FOR MEN AND WOMEN, THE CLUB ALSO FOUNDED THE FIRST NATIONAL MENTAL HEALTH FUTSAL TEAM AND IS ENTERING THE DREAM EURO CUP 24 IN ROME IN SEPTEMBER DURING EUROPEAN WEEK OF SPORT. OUR MEN’S AND WOMEN’S MENTAL HEALTH TEAMS PLAYED AT THE GRENFELL MEMORIAL CUP 24 AND THE MIDDLESEX FA MENTAL HEALTH COUNTY CUPS. OUR TEAMS PLAYED IN THE NORTH WEST LONDON MENTAL HEALTH LEAGUE AND SURREY COMMUNITY LEAGUE. OUR TEAM ATTENDED LA TESTA NEL PALLONE, A EUROPEAN MENTAL HEALTH FUTSAL & VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT AND THE MENTAL HEALTH WORLD CUP 24 AT LOFTUS ROAD, REPRESENTING MOROCCO. WE HELD AN AWARDS CEREMONY AND END OF YEAR PARTY AT THE CLUBHOUSE FOR OUR MEMBERS. WE SUPPORTED 221 MALE MEMBERS AND 47 FEMALE MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. 98% BENEFICIARIES REPORTED IMPROVED MENTAL & PHYSICAL WELLBEING. WE EMPLOYED 7 STAFF THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY UNEMPLOYED WE HAVE FUNDED 27 FA EDUCATION COURSES. 11 COACHING COURSES 2 REFEREEING COURSES 3 WELFARE OFFICERS 3 FIRST AID 4 SAFEGUARDING COURSES MANY THANKS TO OUR SUPPORTERS THE KENSINGTON & CHELSEA FOUNDATION, KENSINGTON & CHELSEA COUNCIL, HAMMERSMITH UNITED CHARITY, SPORTED, WESTWAY TRUST, EARLS COURT DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, THE SIMON RIVETT CARNAC TRUST, RISING BALLERS, DALGARNO TRUST, THE GRENFELL FOUNDATION, THE GRENFELL YOUNG PEOPLES FUND, GRENFELL PROJECTS FUND, VOLUNTARY SECTOR SUPPORT FUND AND ADULT PEER SUPPORT FUND.
WE HAVE CONSULTED WITH OUR MEMBERS MONTHLY WITH THE AIM TO IMPROVE OUR SERVICES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE TAKE THE MEMBERS ON DAYS OUT AND PROVIDE FEEDBACK FORMS / SURVEYS TO MONITOR AND LEARN FROM THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. WE CODESIGN THE PROJECTS WITH OUR MEMBERS AND RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM SPORTED AND THE FA TO GET THE BEST GUIDANCE TO ADAPT OUR SERVICES FOR ADULTS WITH LIVED EXPERIENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH AND DISABILITIES. OUR SESSIONS AND CLUBHOUSE ARE INCLUSIVE AND ARE OPEN TO PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES.
