Company activities and impact

Fifi's Vision C.I.C has support 700 individuals and families with additional needs to help reduce isolation and loneliness. It has provided free peer support groups 3 times a week in Reading for parent-carers and individuals with additional needs. It also provides walk it through meet ups to improve physical and mental health as well as encourage access to the community. It has also provide numerous days out and experiences for families with additional needs to ensure families do not miss out because of the barriers they face. It provides respite parent-carer only sessions to create an opportunity for them to gain some self care and help improve mental health which is vital when caring for someone with additional needs. It has used grants to provide family dinner nights for vulnerable families who are otherwise unable to eat outside of the home, this helps improve relationships with food and creates opportunities for families to gain new skills and try new things. It has organised special guests speakers and group visitors to help sign-post families and work with them to improve relations with organisations. It ensures there are no barriers to accessing support by having no restrictions to join. It does not require a diagnosis, ehcp or any other proof of disability. It is open to all disabilities and additional needs, both hidden and physical, to ensure there are no barriers for people to receive support. It has no age/ sexuality/ religious/ gender or disability restrictions, we help support everyone with additional needs no matter the age of the individual or the age of the children being cared for. It is open to every location although is located in Reading and support groups are mostly attended by local families and individuals.
