Additional information
Our community engagement Our members came together unofficially prior to the founding of Wild Roots Lincolnshire CIC. Following from then, we have grown our member numbers organically, reaching a greater number of people in our community. Through our activities our members have been able to spend time outdoors doing activities which they love with people who are like minded. This kind of social interaction is essential for our human survival and as a group we are grateful to be able to come together in this way and find people in the local community who really need it. Everyone in society benefits from time in nature, particularly people who have or are experiencing mental health issues as a result of trauma. Each member would have a different tale to tell about the positive impact that becoming part of Wild Roots has had on their lives and their mental wellbeing as we are all unique. Members have learnt new skills, built a community and a woodland camp to enjoy for themselves, their families and the wider community. Our members are our main stakeholders and we as group we meet regularly to discuss the activities of Wild Roots to make sure that they continue to meet the needs of us all. Our plans are always changing and adapting as a result.

This allowed us to facilitate a broader range of the activities which our community asked for. The National Lottery Community Fund provided a Re-Wilding of Mental Health grant to support the construction of the camp which is still ongoing. Sport England awarded us a grant which enabled the purchase of equipment. Construction of our camp has progresses from the prior year and will always be improved year on year to meet the needs and wants of our members. We have received a new grant from The National Lottery Awards For All fund and used this to deliver the ordinary activities and purchase equipment to facilitate these. All unspent funds at the end of the year have been deferred and will be released as we spend the funds on activities and equipment.
Our members are our main stakeholders and we a group we meet regularly to discuss the activities of Wild Roots to make sure that they continue to meet the needs of us all. Our plans are always changing and adapting as a result.
