This year, through grant income and increased awareness locally we have been able to deliver sessions to more members, enabling greater numbers to engage meaningfully with nature and food growing. We are running three days per week, with each session now at full capacity. We have recently devised a plan to open for a fourth day, applying for grant funding to make this possible. Our ongoing monitoring shows the positive impact spending time with others outdoors is having for our members. This totals 18 spaces a week across our three days, accessed by an average of 14 different individuals. In 2024, Clarion provided us with the funding for 6 free spaces for 4 hours a day, 27 days (dispersed over 9 weeks) throughout the school and college holidays. These sessions act as lifeline to the parents of our members, but a wonderful opportunity to our members who may be from financially difficult circumstances. The funding allowed us to reach new members who couldn't afford our service otherwise. Monitoring figures show a group of adults who are gaining in confidence, developing an interest in being outdoors and building their skills. Our members have developed the space at Farm Road, focussing more this year on creative projects alongside environmental interventions and food growing. They have planted several hundred saplings provided free by the Woodland Trust, which has been a huge success this autumn. We have also had a greater focus on cooking the food grown in the FROG garden. These sessions continue to be a success in bringing the group together to sit with other users of the space. We have had considerable success in teaching our members new skills; this is observed by our staff and born out in the monitoring data. Sessions are deliberately varied whilst building in regular and seasonal tasks, to make sure there is a level of familiarity.
