Torbay-Ukraine support was set up to assist with the influx of Ukrainian visitors following the invasion of Russia. The organisation supported Ukrainians with DWP forms, links with Torbay Council, Schooling, clothing as well as accommodation and language tuition. It held weekly support meetings for the best part of 18 months.
Torbay-Ukraine has maintained links with Torbay Council and the local community trust throughout the time.
No remuneration was received
We are looking to close the CIC in 2025 as the requirement for its existence has dwindled and other organisations exist to carry on the work. It is intended to return any monies still held by the organisation to Torbay Community Trust which assisted the CIC with funding in the beginning.
