Company activities and impact

Wirral DofE Open Award Centre CIC is committed to providing opportunities for young people to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at all levels. Our mission is to support young people in their personal development, equipping them with skills, experiences, and confidence to contribute positively to society. During the financial year, Wirral DofE Open Award Centre has actively worked to facilitate the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award program by: - Communicating with participant members, Regional Offices, and Head Office of the Award to ensure smooth operations and access to necessary resources. - Supporting young people in achieving their Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards by guiding them through the program's structured requirements. - Providing opportunities for participants to engage in the expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, helping them develop resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. As a new and growing organisation, our participant numbers have been relatively low this year. However, those who have taken part have made significant contributions to their local communities. Through their voluntary work, participants have assisted in community projects, supported local charities, and engaged in environmental initiatives. Additionally, participants have dedicated time to developing new skills and hobbies, enhancing their personal growth and future employability. Furthermore, the physical activity component of the Award has encouraged young people to maintain their fitness through various sporting activities, promoting health and well-being. Despite being in our early stages, Wirral DofE Open Award Centre CIC has already made a positive impact on young people and their communities. We remain committed to expanding our reach and increasing participation in the coming years, ensuring that more young individuals can benefit from the life-changing opportunities offered by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Wirral DofE Open Award Centre CIC is proud of the achievements made this year and looks forward to further growth and engagement with the community. By fostering the development of young people through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, we continue to create a lasting, positive impact on both individuals and society as a whole.
