During the period covered by this report, the company has been dormant. Until March 2020, we were engaged with the activities outlined below. Since March 2020, we were effectively dormant because of the pandemic and lockdown. We remained dormant throughout 2023 and 2024. Before 2020, we ran regular participatory music events at various venues around Yorkshire. Ran stages and music events at various Yorkshire Music festivals. These have provided opportunities for new bands and performers to gain experience, provided opportunities for audiences to experience new music and helped develop skills for up and coming sound engineers. Maintained the Yorkshire Gig Guide website as a music magazine, listings and resource for bands, venues and the public. This has provided opportunities for people to gain journalistic experience, has opened new audiences to bands and performers and has helped to promote independent and grass roots music in Yorkshire. Managed the Yorkshire Gig Guide ticket shop providing small to medium sized venues with an online ticketing opportunity and developing music audiences. Undertaken other activities to support music and musicians including equipment rental. Run the Grass Roots Awards to recognise and support people involved in the Yorkshire music industry.
