Company activities and impact

A non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adolescents aged 11 to 16 who are dealing with body image issues, including eating disorders and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). In its inaugural financial year, Body Image Coach CIC achieved several significant milestones: Program Delivery: The organization provided support to 326 adolescents through its six-week coaching program, which includes pre-recorded animated workshops, online peer support groups and coaching sessions. School Engagement: Piloted programs, receiving positive feedback from both stu- dents and educators. Rated Excellent on TrustPilot Resource Development: Created a comprehensive website offering free resources, including an awareness workshop in animation, and developed guides and webinars to assist schools and parents in supporting young people with body image issues. Media Outreach: Launched a podcast series on YouTube and participated in external podcasts like 'Mini First Aid,' and BCB radio as well as contributed articles to family magazines such as ABC magazine, to raise awareness and provide insights on body image challenges. The impact of these activities on the community has been substantial. Feedback indi- cates that 79% of participants felt better about themselves after completing the pro- gram, and 82% reported a significant increase in self-acceptance. By focusing on early intervention, Body Image Coach CIC has played a crucial role in improving adoles- cents' mental health and well-being, equipping them with the tools to challenge nega- tive thoughts and build a positive self-image.

Consultation with stakeholders

Body Image Coach CIC identifies its primary stakeholders as adolescents aged 11 to 16 experiencing body image issues, their parents and guardians, educational institutions, healthcare professionals, and the broader community concerned with adolescent mental health. Engagement with these stakeholders is achieved through various channels: Adolescents: The organization offers a six-week coaching program that includes animated workshops, peer support groups, and coaching sessions. Participant feedback is actively solicited through surveys and direct communication to assess the program's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Parents and Guardians: Regular consultations are conducted with parents to gather insights into their children's progress and address any concerns. This collaborative approach ensures that the support provided aligns with the needs of both adolescents and their families. Testimonials from parents highlight the program's positive impact. Educational Institutions: Body Image Coach CIC collaborates with schools, NHS/CAMHS providers, to deliver workshops and programs aimed at raising aware- ness of body image issues. Feedback from educators is collected to refine and adapt the content to better serve students. Healthcare Professionals: The organization works alongside healthcare providers, including CAMHS, hospitals, GPs, and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive support system for adolescents. Engagement with these professionals allows for the integration of medical insights into the coaching programs, enhancing their efficacy. In response to stakeholder feedback, Body Image Coach CIC has implemented several actions: Program Expansion: Based on positive outcomes and demand, the organization has expanded its reach, delivering programs to over 326 adolescents and piloting initiatives in schools. Resource Development: Recognizing the need for accessible information, a comprehensive website offering free resources, including an awareness workshop in animation, has been developed to assist schools and parents. Media Outreach: To further disseminate information and support, a podcast series on YouTube has been launched, and contributions have been made to family magazines, providing insights on body image challenges. Through these consultations and responsive actions, Body Image Coach CIC continually adapts its services to meet the evolving needs of its stakeholders, thereby enhancing its im- pact on the community.
