Company activities and impact

Introduction Future Frontline CIC continues to inspire and support the healthcare professionals of today and tomorrow. Over the past year, we have expanded our reach, launched new initiatives, and strengthened partnerships to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in healthcare careers. Key Achievements Next Gen Programme - Launched the Next Gen Programme, a free outreach initiative designed to inspire and support sixth-form students in pursuing healthcare careers. - Recruited 19 volunteers to run the programme nationwide. - Successfully delivered sessions in six sixth forms across Manchester, London, and Southampton. - Established a strong partnership with Kingston University, organizing a healthcare careers summit. - Achieved outstanding results: 92% of participants expressed interest in healthcare careers, and 76% discovered new healthcare professions. - Hosted healthcare degree interview webinars and workshops, equipping aspiring students with valuable preparation and insights. Conferences & Inclusion Initiatives - Disability Inclusion Conference (November 2023): Hosted in collaboration with Portsmouth Hospital NHS Trust, raising awareness on supporting healthcare colleagues with disabilities. - Topics included reasonable adjustments, neurodiversity, mental health, and hidden disabilities. - A British Sign Language (BSL) workshop provided delegates with basic healthcare-related sign language skills. - Revolutionising Leadership Conference (June 2024): Partnered with King’s Health Partners to empower multidisciplinary leadership. - Covered diversity, communication, emotional intelligence, and effective leadership. - 100% of attendees recommended the conference and reported increased confidence in leadership roles. - The event was free, with travel bursaries available to ensure accessibility. Mentorship & Career Development - Launched a six-month mentorship programme pairing final-year healthcare students with qualified professionals. - Designed to mimic workplace procedures, including shortlisting and contract signing. - Aims to equip students with career transition skills and foster multidisciplinary networking. Recognition & Advocacy - Student Leadership in Healthcare Conference (September 2023): Millie and Ella (Student Director & Next Gen Lead) presented research on widening healthcare career access through free online methods. - HLA: IDEAS Annual Conference (October 2023): Co-founder Nikki networked with other healthcare non-profits to enhance Future Frontline’s impact. - FMLM Conference (March 2024): Maariyah (Student Director) presented a poster on disability inclusion, showcasing Future Frontline’s work in promoting accessibility. - National Association of Educator Practitioners Conference (October 2023): Leah (COO) highlighted our efforts in multidisciplinary education and widening participation. - NHS Employers Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Training Event (July 2024): Leah and Maariyah delivered a keynote on disability and neurodiversity support, attended by 100 delegates across 48 organisations, receiving excellent feedback. Awards & Recognition - Runner-up in the Leadership Awards (November 2023) for Supporting Young Leaders, placing 2nd to Barclays Bank. - Ella (Next Gen Lead) - Finalist in the Royal College of Nursing Awards (Nursing Student Award), among 75 finalists from 920+ entries. - Leah (COO) - Awarded Rising Star in Healthcare for continuous contributions to Future Frontline.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholder Engagement We have actively involved various stakeholders, including students, professionals, educational institutions, and healthcare organisations, to ensure our services meet community needs. Engagement strategies included: - Regular feedback collection from programme participants and stakeholders. - Collaboration with universities, NHS Trusts, and professional bodies to enhance programme effectiveness. - Public engagement through conferences, social media, and networking events. Use of Profits & Assets for Community Benefit Future Frontline CIC ensures that all assets and generated income are reinvested into community-based initiatives. In this reporting period: - No dividends were paid out; all revenue supported programme development and operational costs. - Secured additional funding to provide free resources, mentorship programmes, and travel bursaries for event attendees. - Developed new digital platforms to enhance accessibility to career support materials. Directors’ Remuneration & Consultation - All directors have worked within CIC guidelines regarding remuneration. - Ongoing consultation with community members, participants, and advisory panels has shaped our strategic direction and programme offerings. Looking Ahead - Expand the Next Gen Programme to reach more schools and students. - Strengthen partnerships with industry leaders and universities. - Develop new digital resources for e-learning and career development. - Enhance impact measurement to refine and improve services.
