Company activities and impact

Top Class Tuition offers English tuition to disadvantaged students across Blackpool. In collaboration with local schools, TCT provides group sessions aimed at improving GCSE outcomes. Additionally, as AQA examiners, TCT brings expert knowledge to teacher training and the moderation of examination scripts. TCT has had a significant impact on student achievement, with 100% of tutees attaining a grade 4 or higher at GCSE. Local schools have also highlighted the positive effects of the tuition, particularly for pupils eligible for Pupil Premium funding.

Consultation with stakeholders

Top Class Tuition's key stakeholders include parents and local schools benefiting from Opportunity Area Funding. We actively gather feedback from parents and provide each tutee with a monthly newsletter, offering them the chance to engage with our work in the community. TCT has received written testimonials from local schools highlighting its positive impact, supported by relevant data. Additionally, TCT has expanded its reach to universities, collaborating through consultations to develop resources for disadvantaged pupils across the Lancaster and Morecambe area.
