Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 June 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

Company activities and impact

The Parakeet Studio is dedicated to supporting the creative development of children through arts-based community projects in underserved areas of Birmingham and the Black Country During this period, the company has carried out the following activities Creating mud kitchens in community spaces, providing children with accessible and imaginative play areas where they live. Street play sessions offer opportunities for children to engage in outdoor play in safe and structured environments. Regular playgroup for under-5s, fostering early years development through creative and sensory activities. Commissioned projects, working with organizations such as Moseley Road Baths, the National Trust, and Outdoor Play and Learning to deliver arts and play-based initiatives that benefit local children and families. The Parakeet Studio’s initiatives have significantly impacted children and families by: Increasing access to creative play opportunities in underserved communities. Enhancing children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development through arts and play. Strengthening community cohesion by providing safe, inclusive spaces for children and families to connect and engage. Supporting local organisations in delivering meaningful arts-based projects tailored to community needs.

Consultation with stakeholders

The Parakeet Studio engages with the community and stakeholders through: Regular feedback sessions with families and community members. Collaborations with local organisations to assess community needs. Monitoring and evaluating programme effectiveness to ensure continued impact.
