COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

TRANS- STATES C.I.C.

Company Number: 13239211 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2024

Company activities and impact

The company's primary engagement with the community remains through its experimental, trans-disciplinary conference and art exhibition series. No conference was run this year but our online platforms have remained very active, and the focus has been on the continued dissemination of materials generated at the 2022 conference. The company continues to maintain an extensive online community and research network through our various web platforms, including our website and social media platforms. Of particular note is the continued success of our You Tube channel, where, in keeping with the company's policy on open access, presentations from previous conferences are filmed, edited, published, and made freely available online. To provide some specific figures, at the end of this financial year, this output was viewed 175,251 times, and the channel had 1,911 subscribers. These remain excellent numbers for academic material and demonstrate that said materials have an impact beyond scholarly audiences. We have also continued hard work in launching our own open access online peer-reviewed journal, Monad: Journal of Occultural Studies. Finally, directors of the company have finally promoted our organisation, research network, art collective, and community outreach programme, at various events and locations around Europe and online, and have engaged in public debate about the pragmatics and ethics of scholars and practitioners of occulture. This aligns with one of the company's key community services: disseminating research. educating, encouraging informed debate, supporting evidence-based information exchange, and further building our research network and supporting the broader occultural community.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders are the conference attendees, esoteric practitioners, esoteric artists, and the esoteric research community. In particular, the company has continued to be closely supported by The University of the West of England and the European Society for the Study of Western Esotericism, with whom we have engaged in regular meetings, discussions, and email correspondence. The company consults with conference attendees in an open forum at our conferences. Our primary mode of contact has been to engage in a continuous manner through the many interactions on our various social media platforms. Furthermore, we have engaged in public and online events (conferences, talks, exhibitions, discussion panels, Q&A's debates, etc.) attended by esoteric practitioners, esoteric artists, and the wider ooccultural community.
