Company activities and impact

Well-Edu has launched as a social enterprise, reaching out to the local community and key figures such as local council representatives, educators and other community interest companies, to assess the unique needs of our area and create, and adapt, our services to have the greatest possible impact. Directors, volunteers and contractors have attended training, networking events and promoted trading services as well as build awareness of our upcoming charitable projects. The company has established branding including logos and marketing materials, created social media accounts and developed a website. Our first pilot project benefitted young people at risk of NEET to develop both strategies to improve wellbeing and practical skills for employability. The company has also collaborated with a local business to deliver a Local Authority contract to provide education and wellbeing support for a vulnerable child.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholders include staff within schools, young people at risk of NEET and children identified as requiring support with wellbeing within an education setting. Stakeholders have provided feedback via verbal consultations, post-service questionnaires and written testimonials. In response, the company has made minor adaptations to pilot schemes and included bespoke packages within our service options.
