Imagine If.Space CIC is a community interest company dedicated to fostering collaboration, engagement, and sustainable community development across Scotland. Over the financial year, the company has undertaken a range of activities, including: - Facilitating local place planning workshops to help communities identify and prioritise key projects (Thornhill, Lenzie, Callander). - Supporting local development trusts and community councils in improving communication and coordination between stakeholders (Callander, Thornhill, Lenzie). - Delivering interactive workshops using the Imagine If Game to encourage visioning and community participation (University of Edinburgh, Lenzie, Creative Informatics, Green Tease, Archifringe). - Engaging in academic and industry discussions on sustainable design methodologies and alternative approaches to urban development (University of Edinburgh). - Organising exhibitions and talks to spark dialogue on the future of housing, retrofitting, and sustainable communities (Archifringe, Creative Informatics, Green Tease). - Securing funding for community initiatives, such as the establishment of a new community hub in Callander and a local e-bike share scheme (Callander). Through these initiatives, Imagine If.Space CIC has benefited communities by providing structured frameworks for planning, fostering inclusive discussions, and enabling practical steps towards realising community aspirations. The impact of these activities is evident in the increased collaboration, improved project implementation, and enhanced access to information and resources within the communities served.
Imagine If.Space CIC engages with a diverse range of stakeholders across Scotland, including: - Local communities and residents participating in Local Place Plans and visioning exercises. - Community Development Trusts, Community councils, community groups and local authorities seeking support in project facilitation and execution. - Academic institutions and students exploring sustainable design and participatory planning. - Industry professionals and policymakers involved in the built environment. Stakeholder consultation takes place through: - Community workshops and interactive engagement activities, such as the Imagine If Game. - Direct communication with community groups, community councils, and development trusts to align priorities. - Digital Imagine If Game and social media support for specific community groups, to ensure broad community participation. - Industry and academic discussions, including guest lectures and panel discussions, to exchange knowledge and insights. Actions taken in response to stakeholder feedback include: - Refining workshop methodologies to better align with community needs and preferences. - Developing and implementing digital tools, such as project trackers, to support long-term planning efforts. - Securing funding and resources to address specific community needs identified through consultation. - Strengthening communication channels between community organisations and authorities to facilitate more effective collaboration. Imagine If.Space CIC remains committed to ongoing consultation to ensure that its activities continue to meet the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £13625.44. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
